you're not looking at this the right way.
actually it's smart what they did. not stupid.
this is how these terrorists behave. if they can't hurt the person responsible, hurt somebody close...
these towel heads bomb themselves up in the name of allah just to hurt their enemy. innocents are just collateral damage. in this case they were killed to make an example in a show of power because trump killing their 2nd in command,
tell me how what they did is going to cost them anything in terms of retaliation and them being afraid?. usa isn't going to do chit. no american deaths......is canada or the other countries going to come to bat to face iran?....nah......we'll just take irans apology that they made an error killing those peeps, it's all good. you know the obama playbook.
first, they're going to have to pay hundreds of millions to the families on those planes, not to mention even worse relationships with the affected countries. they don't have any money.
next, you're not considering what's going on in iran. it's all fucked up. iran's leadership is hanging by a thread as it is. US sanctions are killing their economy. iran has had to raise oil prices and cut back on social welfare programs. they're already poor.
protests and riots have been so bad that iran killed around 1500 protesters recently. the airline being shot down has led to new protests.
this is the absolute last thing the iranians wanted
also, anyone know of any decent sites to track what's happening there? not finding great coverage anywhere
take this fwiw as i don't speak the language but this is apparently widespread

honestly, this is starting to feel an awful lot like the previous student revolution around the edges.
if we end up converting this and turning iran into another mid east vassal state, im going to have to reconsider some core opinions on this administration.

No my friend, YOU'RE not looking at this the right way.
What "towel heads" are you referring to? Arabs? Turks? Sikhs? Bedouins?
Iran is Persia guy, the Persians are none of these and typically don't go around blowing themselves up in the name of Allah. The regime sponsors and exports terrorism, but their form of terrorism is primarily training and finance of Arabic groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas.
The downing of the plane was a major fuck up and is affecting the stability of the country. Literally the last thing the Ayatollah wants right now.
trump has to get lucky every time, the feds only have to get lucky once.

Written occasionally about my respect for Sander’s sincerity. His lonely anti war vote in 2003. His message has been consistent since the early 90’s. I’ve admitted how my fondness for Sanders surprises even me.
It suddenly dawned on me yesterday he and Trump are both populist isolationists.
Then again, the whole world falls in that camp.
I cannot get over how wack this election is.

I lean more towards Yang’s 10 x 10 .... pledging 10% of their salary per year for ten years, after which the balance would be forgiven.
Outright forgiveness just fuels the bloated College administration overhead. Ahh, such is the result of government money.
You realize it’s the government loaning the student dough, right? If so, you also understand the skyrocketing college costs. Good
Nevertheless, it’s good national conversation even if he’s unelectable. I never gave a shit about the issue before. That’s progress.
He’s the Wilford Brimley of politics. It’s the right thing to do.
