Gets bonus points because the intro literally gave the entire premise of the backstory in the first 15 seconds. No 1-2-4 episodes of explaining where the powers came from or how it happened...... nope fuck that noise we got no time for that. Guy falls asleep in a car and aliens cruise by and drop off a super suit..... no fucking questions just right to the 80’s action

Going to be able to hit most of the HBO shows in this thread, and I know most middle aged men who can formulate there own opinions knows it wasn’t the Sopranos that was the best HBO show of them all so The Wire get first mention by he here.

Always appreciated that they used a different version every season.

Continuing the HBO mini run - probably my personal favorite. Great great song choice and the opening credits frame up New Orleans and the show very well.

Probably the most under rated opening credits in the HBO catalogue.

Always thought it was total bullshit that HBO put the quash on deadwood due to skyrocketing costs. The breakdown of the BBC and HBO partnership on Rome sucked. The second season was rushed and the corny ending with Titus getting cleopatra Prego was a jump the shark moment that would have been avoided if they knew it wasn’t coming to an end after season 2.
