    California / Nevada heat wave

Contrary to popular belief, Los Angeles' hottest average weather is NOT in July.

The hottest period in LA is typically from late August through mid September, with the hottest average week being the first week of September.

This year is true to that. There is presently a heat wave in LA, which started yesterday. However, what is unusual is the fact that it is affecting Nevada and Northern CA as well. Vegas, for example, has its hottest weather in mid-July, like most of the country.

Here's a list of high temps from today:

    LA area:
    Woodland Hills 109
    Newhall 109
    Downtown Los Angeles 98
    Thousand Oaks 97
    Encino 101
    Anaheim 93
    Malibu 76

    Northern/Central CA:
    Sacramento 105
    Death Valley 120
    Bakersfield 103
    South Lake Tahoe 85
    San Francisco 71

    Nevada:
    Las Vegas 111
    Reno 99
    Laughlin 111

Tomorrow is forecasted to be slightly hotter.

Note that a few places on the coast, such as SF and Malibu, are cool.

Where I am, which is often moderate in the summer, it was already 83 degrees at 6am (unusual), and reached around 100.

I was waiting for this because, yeah, historically you people burn best in September/October

Technically "it" can never be described as a heat wave if "it"started yesterday.

Who was that one dumb fuck who was saying people move FROM SF to SD for the weather. BS.
SD 91 might as well be 100 since they don't have AC

It’s interesting to me that you wrote that.

I watch LA local news occasionally for the schadenfreude.

The weather person yesterday was talking specifically about rising trends in overnight temperatures over the years in SoCal.

Nonsense I get from Nevada energy for my home high up in the mountains in Tahoe.

Laughing at any fuck who fell for the Electric Vehicle scam.

Have someone read your post to you. Proper sentence structure could camouflage the fact you are an uneducated boob but the above atrocity leaves no question.

Rich uneducated boob, get it right drunk. Since you love music so much and it appears to be the only other enjoyment you have in your life, here is a preview of how it ends for you. Without the dog feeding on you until the police do a wellness check of course.

Can we get some kind of prize pool going on Druff’s thermostat takeover by California Power and Light?

I guess the opposite side of the trade is that Druff simply experiences rolling blackouts cause Angelina Jolie plugged in her Tesla.

Amazingly it's likely to rain in LA on Saturday -- something uncommon for early-mid September.

The high will still be 78, so it will probably feel more like a tropical rain, but still.
