Fair assessment. You probably have some interesting things to teach us, but it is mixed in with a bunch of stuff I consider garbage.
Reiterating. Reasons why people dislike the Israeli thing.
1) Contrary to what you believe, most Americans probably do share more with Jews culturally. They're a first world country. Judeo-Christian. This means we as a nation should expect more of them. Why complain about places like Sudan etc which I can't conceivably understand affecting. How would that work?
2) It is not *my* concern to protect Israel. I don't give a fuck. We give them far more per capita in AID than most countries, when their GDP per capita is reasonable. Why? We give them 3-4x as much as the other countries and they're not even a poor country. If they want to do what they're doing then get off my government's tit. Then I will look to stop complaining.
3) Given how close we are allied with Israel all their poor reflection blows back on the US's interests.
No other western/first world country is still actively booting people out of their property and settling lands. Am I wrong? The rest of the world has moved past this stage. At least first world countries (with exception if Israel)
Verminaard disagrees and as best as I can see,
what Israel does is OK because other places are just as bad. He is basically saying "Israel and Israeli jews are just as shitty as Syria/Saudia Arabia" - Verm basically justifies anti-semitism with this line of thought. Not sure I agree, but shrug, he ducked out of the convo when I took his views to their basic logical conclusion.
