no chance he ever becomes president
I'm not a big fan but he'd be better than Trump. Like Trump, most of Bernie's legislative agenda would die in Congress. What's I'm worried about is the relationship with other countries, the functioning of the executive departments and appointments to the federal judiciary. Those are things where the president has a lot of influence without/despite Congress, and Bernie would be a damn sight better than Trump there.
I’m looking forward to the opportunity this fall to vote for Bernie Sanders to become the US’ first Jewish president.

also there better be a whole lot of unemployed college students that come out for Bernie cause i can tell you from living here, Bernie will get crushed in the Philly suburbs, which usually determines whether you win Pennsylvania

i do admit, though, this is weirdly similar to 2016 when no one gave trump a chance and we talked about how the republicans would never win again.

Bernie uses grievance politics and talks about burning down the system the same way trump does.

blaming others and promising free stuff can be really effective in getting votes.

i think trump will win, but i also thought Hillary would too

the old rules just dont apply.

and if trump does win, who knows.. maybe it will compel the democrats to provide us an actual electable candidate in 2024. not to mention, the longer he stays in power, the worse the republican establishment looks.

Not that he needs your money being a billionaire himself, but if you’re Bloomberg, are you working behind the scenes to try and help Steyer in South Carolina? SC is a spread the money around state more than these early 3. Church leaders, local pols, etc.

Amy, Pete, and Warren have no path .

It’s Bernie v Biden or Bloomberg. The latter two have a difficult but not impossible route if they emerge the Bernie alternative.

If you’re Bloomberg, you can’t let joe get any momentum yet SC is old and black. It’s a natural fit for him.

Steyer is running on reparations and everything else and if you’re Bloomberg, you’d rather Steyer split the black vote and let Bernie somehow cobble enough votes together to win. That ends Biden completely.

I can’t see where a Bernie win in SC hurts Bloomberg in any way beyond it continues Bernie’s momentum, but he already has that anyway. His only hope is that the party clamors for a savior and he needs joe dead. After SC, only 5% of the delegates required will have been allocated, so if joes dead, you have plenty of time.

It wouldn’t shock me if Bloomberg was spending his energy in SC not on himself, but on Steyer.

This tweet contains a thoroughly enjoyable mashup vid of notable predictions over the past year by establishment media talking heads about Bernie’s prospects in this nomination race.

this post was met with great derision. I’ve literally owned multiple souls in this thread.

Twitter is suspending 70 pro-Bloomberg accounts, citing ‘platform manipulation’

    This is just clumsy. Inept?

I keep nodding my head “yup, totally owned by Krypt”.

Krypt snap responded with the above take when I speculated Bloomberg had talent at his disposal. My thought didn’t age well at all.

So rare that anything in this thread has a shelf life and credit is due. Tip my cap.

I think we (meaning you, BCR) have imbued Bloomberg with way too many superhuman powers. He hasn’t done a goddamned thing yet.

Even his money is trading at a discount now. I have this sense that voters are gonna be repulsed by his vulgar awkward attempt to buy an election. He’s just plain unlikeable.

If he Somehow comes across in the next debate as sincere and charismatic the money isn’t an issue. But he needs to step up and engage and that prolly equates to nasty. That Hail Mary actually didn’t really help Warren after all did it?

Bloomberg is a sell at the high atm. We will revisit this post later for a grade.

Hope you’re ok BCR. You gotta stay with us here.

bloomberg is the ex girlfriend reminding republicans how toxic their current relationship is.

whatever you choose to read into his campaign beyond that is of questionable operational significance.

I respect the snap fold on the Bloomberg hand.

You adjust to the new data and move on. Reputations intact

i mean, it was his race to lose and he lost it.

    could he recover? absolutely.

and if he gets the dem nod, he will salt the earth under a thousand generations of trump's bloodline.

but its inexplicable that a) he didnt anticipate these attacks from warren and b) didnt have solutions to them.

so yeah, i got dealt a sketchy turn card. it happens.

Sooooo how many democrats are ready to admit they’d rather have trump over Bernie?

    not me of course.

    I would never admit that

Ive always thought Bernie was going to win. This is politics as sport and I just want to see who he is is going to fight on the undercard because he’s going to fight someone. I’ve been on record as thinking losing the general is the best option given this field. I don’t want Bloomberg as president. It’s a 3 horse race and one of the two of Biden or Bloomberg will be on the undercard. The other 3 have no prayer.

im sure there are quite a few mentally ill dems who prioritize their own material advantages over a functional government and the long term survival of our species who would choose trump over bernie.

honestly blake youre absolutely hysterical over bernie. show us on the doll where he hurt you.
