Given that I have found that most pizza places have been fail in Vegas, this is good news.
It's on Flamingo and Jones. It's a new restaurant.
I will try it in about 2 weeks and report back.
I really hope he is right.

A joke about a large person recommending a pizza place.
Gobo needs to contact me re a healthy diet. He won't last the way he is going.

Best pizza spot I've had in Vegas is across the street from the Hard Rock, it's called Joe's New York Pizza. I make sure to a make a couple stops during my trips to the WSOP it's probably the best pizza I've ever had. They sell pizza by the slice, try the meat pie. Great for hangovers.
It's an easy target to make fun of gobbo's weight but let's be serious here when a heavy set man who has lived in a very foody city for a long time says a certain place has the best pizza in Vegas you should assume he knows his shit and it's not going to suck.
I'll take his word for it.
I love pizza but if I ate it everyday, I would look like Jimmy Fricke too.
What would you do if you were over 250 pounds like him?
Dan Druff in about 5 years, you are what you eat.
This is much better James. Get a big bowl, chop up half a head of lettuce, grill a chicken breast chop and add, cut a few tomatoes and cucumbers-add. Buy low fat feta cheese at Aldis, add a third to half container of it. Get some chopped pepperocinis and about third a cup. Chop some mini peppers, add. Pour in about a quarter of a bottle of low fat Greek dressing toss and gorge. You can eat volume food that is good for you, not poison.
Fact is the current generations are not outliving their parents due to all the shit food and obesity. Little activity.
I saw today the average American spends 18k a year on nonessentials. A lot of that is shit restaurant food and garbage food.
It has been a year since I changed my diet. It is amazing how well your body runs when to treat it and feed it right.

i'd wager that gobbo has a glandular disorder.
im sure calories/salt arent doing him any favors but i seriously doubt its a core issue.

Never agreed with this take. When I see a really overweight person who appears to like to eat a lot, like, a lot, the last thing I think about is their discerning palate.
Gobbo clearly has been to tons (most?) of vegas food spots, and I'd certainly take a recommendation from him seriously, but his obesity is not a plus in that category.
we're also big into non-fat versions of foods, which usually have similar calories, are less satisfying, and at the end of the day lead to people eating more as opposed to less. split gets a pass on the dressing, since Maple Grove Farms makes some great shit and they don;t make a fatted version of that particular one.
That head of lettuce has near zero nutritional value, Split.
Split, you were/are a nurse?
True and funny story. I was betting 1st Period of hockey games this year. I was eventually betting numbers that were nerve racking.
Hockey is so fast. It was killing me but it was a once in a lifetime spot.
I started to develop a nervous stomach. I was also (nervous) eating and drinking late into the night.
Dr prescribes a Prilosec kind of drug. It helped a lot and hockey season ended. I’m good now.
So I started getting text messages from CVS that my prescription is ready. Huh?
They auto refill and hound you til you come in with insurance and credit card.
It’s obvious it’s a business move and helps sales but that ain’t healthy for anyone. I imagine most people just collect the drug and it get flushed into the ecosystem.
Grade school kids are drinking the drugs that don’t get filtered by the cities water treatment plants.
Big pharma ain’t helping

I grew up around Jersey/NYC Pizza and the title alone pisses me off!
Yes, am a nurse, it is criminal how drugs are pushed from all angles to help symptoms of bad living when diet and exercise will do the same in many many cases. The older I get I see all of this as planned internal terrorism. If you feed people unhealthy food and promote shitty lifestyle, they get sick. They need healthcare and pills. They don't live long and social security is therefore saved. It's a sinister plot by government and big pharma.

That dressing has 5 cals per tablespoon and is D-liscious. Many other dressings have 70-110 cals per tablespoon. There is only one gram of sugar. My diet has no limits on the things I eat. Eat until you are full and I eat frequently through the day.
Show me an obese person who eats a sensible diet. Glands my ass. Hypothyroidism is treatable.
