Just because idiots like you don't understand math doesn't make it a failure... my son learns common core, he's a second grader doing freshman algebra. It's just weird how conservatives want everything to go backwards. Common core is the way we all do math in our heads... it's about understanding the why and not just the how. It might take more effort at the beginning, but kids can then learn at a very accelerated pace.

Druff, are you aware that in our current era education majors/future teachers as a group in the US have the lowest extrance exam scores? In large part, this is due to the low salaries beginning teachers can expect to make for a significant number of years. Smarter students tend to opt for majors that have significantly greater earning potential. So I'm not surprised that teachers tend to not like Common Core. Most of them probably aren't smart enough to understand how to teach it. At least that is likely to be the case in the US.
