I didn't galvanize me even if I know it to be true. Because the president I want for my country is someone who *doesn't* "Other"-ize a substantial portion of my fellow Americans, even if I vehemently disagree with them on matters such as race, religious prejudice, etc. And that she spoke it speaks volumes for how Hilldawg tone-deafly vocalizes that she considers those folks as beneath her and her supporters. Dammit! That is not what this country is meant to stand for! I don't want the leader of the US to treat ANY of my fellow citizens that way, even if they are racists, homophobes, etc.!
I think that she galvanized people she wasnt going to get votes from against her, and in doing so threw down the gauntlet at the undecideds, who are now forced to choose between her or the Idiocracy Party.
And thats a brilliant gambit.
More importantly it spells out a vital message to her constituents; your vote wont be forgotten. "If you back Trump, thats who you are and you wont find a warm welcome after you stagger out of the political woods, bloody and starved and scared and cold. So measure twice and cut once."

Because how far is that attitude away from debating setting rights based on some kind of mind policing based on those beliefs? Because that openly-expressed attitude by the top political leader of the country legitimizes considering taking away some rights based on such mind policing. That's a big reason why I deplore the notion of Trump becoming president. He has built so much of his campaign on such Otherizing. And such Otherizing is the first step towards enacting totalitarian policies, be they fascist or leftist.
