I don't know when the next time will be that you see two teams in the 3-divisional-era where the second best one has 105 wins coming into the final day. The amazing thing here is that only one team in the division has a terrible record. Both teams just beat the entire NL pretty consistently.

I blame the Dodgers letting Farhan Zaidi go. If he didn't show up in SF, none of this would have happened.
The 93 Giants had over 100 wins and didn’t make it. Will Clark, Barry Bonds and Matt Williams. That was a pretty good team.
They had 103. Dodgers have 105, and will have 106 tomorrow if they win.

Also, divisions had 7 teams in 1993, thus making something like this more likely.
