Nobody wanted him when the A's cut him loose in 2017, and the Dodgers only signed him because Farhan Zaidi repeatedly hassled Andrew Friedman about it, insisting that Muncy's ability to judge balls and strikes made him a potential star. Somehow the Dodgers let Zaidi go, and he built part of this Giants team which is coming close to snapping the Dodgers' division-winning streak. Sad!
