Daly conveniently forgets that Team Reagan secretly made contact with Iran and pledged to unfreeze the $5 billion in oil sales cash sitting in US banks that Carter froze shortly after the Iranian Revolution if Iran didn’t agree to return the hostages until after Carter was out of office. Which Team Reagan did right after he took office. Conservotards like Daly hold onto the fantasy that Reagan was going to tough on Iran over the hostages, but he did exactly the opposite secretly to fuck with Carter’s popularity in the run-up to the election.
