I think their decision is better and they were smart to alter Trump’S CDC plan rollout. Seems a lot could be fixed by a few tweaks in age brackets. Add 65+ and make it essential workers 35+, but that will be expensive. I know young people who have gotten traditionally sick for 10 days. They’ll miss work and we will pay them again now with stimulus being passed. There were a lot of scammers with unemployment. Many 1099 jobs are easy to manipulate. Many are essentially similar to agreements in the same way under the table jobs are. It’s easy to say hey I’m not coming back until I collect for 12 weeks or whatever this bill provides for.

I knew contractors who not only collected it in my state, but found addresses and collected it in PA last go around.

I also don’t know when you are talking a few months to get all these disputed groups vaccinated, if the logistics of only covering these essential employees at this time, but not these younger ones, slow the whole process down to where there is no benefit.

I really didn’t understand the vaccine. I understood it was an mRNA vaccine and how it worked in laymen’s terms, but I thought the two shots were distinct shots until last week. I didn’t realize they were exactly the same and the first allowed for 52% immunity and the second for 95%. I thought the first signaled the body to produce something and the second was different. A doctor friend explained it to me.

My friend thought they should use the 50 million as single dose shots and then circle back with the idea that it worked better that way, and that the timing of second shot wasn’t that important. ASAP, but it didn’t have to be two weeks, and that the virus would be eradicated quicker from society. I don’t know if she is correct or not. She wasn’t herself. She was just kind of spitballing given her better understanding.

I think a balanced approach is better. Putting all your eggs in one basket could be a mistake.
VE amongst the elderly is a concern, and if they stop being vigilant and return to normal interactions it could be a disaster.

Honestly, vaccinating those who are at the greatest risk to transmit and spread this virus does not appear dumb to me.
