If I have to fly 5 hours, I’ll take Hawaii over Florida anyday.

"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
floating cabanas feels like either the best idea or the worst idea
I don't really have a thing for Moose. I did grow up near Moose Jaw but.....
This 6 minute video is riveting. It's obviously been enhanced with music but
Jesus I freak out every time I see it.
You have to go full screen for this.
btw, tell your dog to lay off
This is a good post and actually pretty accurate, im a 'gringo' (lol), born and raised in New Jersey. Who has now lived in Florida 10 years, so I get exactly what you meant here in the post. And agree, actually people like True Floridians the few and far between, who were actually born and raised here, dont generally like the Northeast or Tri-State area type at all. Real Floridians, really dont like 'Yankee' LoL, that Civil war shit stil is real down here obviously haha....
Jersey food aside from maybe Latin food if you like that crushes Florida food, we have better Pizza by far, subs, pork roll and cheese obv (lol), real Bagels everywhere. its just better or I like Jersey food wise wayyy better. I crave it when im going back to NJ actually lol, this or that food wise...
4 Seasons is a big one for me, and I didnt realize it maybe for a couple years when I first moved here. But yeah I would really like having me some Four Seasons again lol, and actually in an odd way when you have 3 months of cold, and a Winter it made me want to go to the beach when it was nice enough too then. I looked forward to the beach lol, here I dont give a fk I can go all the time year round lol. So in that way too I miss the seasons, there's a flow to the year that goes along with it. And of course, up north thel eaves change, then the weather of course and its just I knew I guess. Now ive been in Florida 10 years, where it's just hot and hotter, and honestly I dont really love it so much I dont think. Id maybe rather just be able to vacation to it, and miss NJ and the four seasons. That was a good point actually.
For people on the east coast, the flight to Hawaii is pretty brutal. It's the equivalent of LA people going to London.
California kinda sucks as far as its distance from most popular travel locations. However, two advantages are being driving distance to Vegas, and being only a 5 hour flight to Hawaii.
