Druff NEVER bets Dodger games. Honestly can’t recall him doing this in 6 years.

It’s Urias so Druff is trying to do the un-obvious Urias thing. I don’t see it but Druff is running good. AZ has probably quit, so there is that.

We are going to have lol wow look in on you this evening.

So, I just put a nick on Hovland to have the lowest 72 hole score not counting bonus strokes. It’s a long shot play but here is my thinking.

    1) I got value. He is anywhere from 28-1 to 33-1 on most books. I got him at 45-1, just an absurd number. Not sure why this book is so much off here but I can’t miss the shot at big balloons.

    2) He won an opposite field event. Has not shown the mental game and the scrambling to win a tournament with a super field, but he doesn’t have to win here. I love that he is starting 10 strokes back. No pressure to win and hopefully the kid keeps up that great play tee to green. If he has to scramble a lot there is no shot.

    3) Hasn’t payed his best last few weeks. Why the number is so great but I think the kid can bounce back. Greens in regulation will be his key stat.

    4) As his first time playing the FedEx Cup Championship he is going to just want to focus on playing well. I don’t think he will worry about winning and making up the ten strokes. Hopefully settles the kid down.

Think he is worth a flyer for a nick to win 23 K.

Kids got talent, I could see it.

I think X Man is the horse to beat though and at 12-1 that’s a fair offer.

I like the play and am thinking about him as well. Sucks he moved down to 11-1 on FanDuel as well. But X seems to be taking money.

Bad guy, this will never get old for me. If you really want a separate Golf thread we can do that. Or you can put me on ignore. There is a sharpie baseball there as well.

    Serious question.

What became of the MLB Salami? Did COVID kill the Salami? Is it offered anywhere?

I’ve only bet it in hockey. I would think with the postponements for a COVID combined with the weather as usual, make it very difficult to make the proper line. I’ll check the Jersey apps in the morning to see if I see it anywhere and let you know.

The “man on second” extra innings rule spikes scores.

10 games in 7 days leads a manager to more quickly punt a game and save your relief.

The line doesn’t miss close. It misses HUGE

(I’ve had good luck Live betting overs on games where the dog & non contender is losing by 5 or more. The live total can’t get big enough. This is a permutation of the position player finishing a game on the mound live betting the three outcome prop we did a few years ago.)

Dodgers as we speak fits that description. Let’s see

    Chris Taylor is killing me.

I felt Urias would have a strong game, hence the under. He did.

However AZ is pitching badly, and Dodgers up 6-1 after 6.

Taylor has 4 RBI via 2 doubles. Hopefully scoring ends here. Dodgers at home so I gotta fade 2 runs in 2.5 innings.

    2 out, 9th, nobody on, 6-1.

    Alexander suddenly can't throw strikes.

    Walks Calhoun.

Nick Ahmed comes up. Alexander goes 2-1, forces himself to throw one down the middle, and Ahmed crushes it.

Outrageous. I had a run to spare, so that walk was huge.

I’m gonna threaten a Dodger rant if they fuck my run line.

I may bink this all in exquisite fashion. One more run.

We sports fans always remember the last thing that happened in a game and forget all the other equally meaningful plays.

Dodger Team Risp 3 of 15 ..... 12 men were left on 2nd and 3rd

I am reminded of the 1st inning where AZ’s Young threw 34 pitches. The Diamondback announcers were worried for his health and 40 would have been bad. Hanging by a thread. Only one run was scored through some miracle and bases left loaded.

I got lucky as far as Urias was concerned. My handicap faded him. Urias was very good and quite unexpectedly lasted 6 innings. Very un-Urias-like.

The number of Dodger wins by 2 runs or more this year will make you violently ill if you are not auto betting. I was late.

Stupidity Wagering is available on BOL for Padres

    Odds to win World Series
    Dodgers +375
    Padres +1000

Odds to win the National League
    Dodgers +165
    Padres +500

    Odds to win NL West
    Dodgers -1100
    Padres +700

Longer odds to win NL than NL West ... stupid

Lest you have been watching Hallmark channel or NBA ..... playoffs will be bubble @ neutral sites.

The Yankees will likely play in Dodger stadium. This is bizarro world. Need to noodle this out.

Honestly the MLB playoff system this year is the most offensive change.

Far worse than the 7 inning doubleheaders or the automatic runner on second in extras.

The fact that the Dodgers -- who will probably finish with better than a .700 record -- will have to win a 3-game series against a sub-.500 team in order to advance is an absolute joke.
