I think Cuomo’s leadership has been A+ but he still made huge mistakes that resulted in thousands of extra deaths. 45 governors out of 50 didn’t send Covid positive people to nursing homes. If any of the 45 was the governor of NY instead of Cuomo far less people would have died in NY. There was also the decision to not close down the subway at all and clean, that decision didn’t come until months into the pandemic. Once again, great leadership but poor results.No but with good leadership instead of being at 150K right now maybe we'd only be at 120K or 80K. Whatever the number might be, good leadership would have saved a significant number of lives.
Back to Trump, he’s said endless stupid shit but did those words result in extra deaths? My opinion is they didn’t, not in a significant way anyway. People like to downplay his decision to restrict travel from China. Do you disagree that decision saved lives? It had to significantly slow the spread. That’s a decision no democrat was on board with so that would be a net win in a Trump’s favor if you’re talking about overall deaths.
