Trump early mid march comes on tv and tells the country there is a national emergency and he is concerned. He should have said it's gonna be a long fight vs this virus but if we do what the experts reccomend and come together as a nation for the common good of all of us

He should have told every american to wear a mask at all time when they leave the house. He should ahve set up a antional plan

He did none of this. He made it worse. He scoffed at masks he scoffed at closing the country down. When the country was partially closed he sent out tweets encouraging people to protest against the stay at home orders


He should have shut down the entire country

But that’s not what the “experts” were saying in March. The experts were saying we need to flatten the curve so the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed. The idea of being locked down for the entire year or until a vaccine was ready came later.

I am not sure Trump can legally shut down the country, states have a lot of rights and many would have sued and the outcry of how he was a dictator etc...

Based on all the other recent pandemics, seemed like most governors figured this would be the same H1N1, SARS, West Nile etc...at least at the beginning whether Dem or Repub...then states opened and dummies acted as though everything was back to normal.

I went on vacation to south padre and even though places were supposed to be at 50% max, the one place I went to eat was more than 100% full and no servers wearing masks...it was a shit show. We sat outside but should have just left.
