You literally cannot drive anywhere in this country without having a gigantic billboard of a cheeseburger or fried chicken sandwich. You now can pack in 1,000 calories at lunch for $5. Before all this started, I was at McDonald's waiting in line in early March and a really fat guy ordered a salad saying he was on a diet. He asked for three ranch packets and then immediately supplemented his order with a large fry. Oh, I watched him at the fountain station and a gigantic sugary drink followed which looked like a Powerade. In his eyes, he was dieting, reality is he was at 1,100 calories.
The fast food industry really has fucked this country. Maybe this virus will force people to cook at home a create some type of portion control. Whatever happened to a grilled piece of chicken and asparagus?
