Even if they are being reinfected, it isn't clear what the repercussions of this are. It is possible people being infected a second time easily fight it off due to partial acquired immunity, and this boosts their immunity even further, in the same way that some vaccinations require multiple shots.

Coviddating and covidsingles were both taken already. Thought I might get in on ground floor of the plague dating biz if people are testing positive again. The new AIDS dating. One of you people who can develop apps should create tinder for covid positive young people in NYC.
trump just confused 'germ' and 'virus' and does not know that antibiotics only work on bacteria apparently.
now would be the time to tell your family you love them.

TRUMP HAS GOT IT FIGURED OUT, FIGURED IT OUT JUST YESTERDAY ACTUALLY

Let's hope that it's a false alarm.
Can't you isolate yourself more in the cab with minimal contact? Mini fridge? Bathroom issue is challenging. I know that you guys don't generally load or unload.
At any rate, here's an article about truckers that you may find interesting and thanks to all truck drivers who have made this self-isolation go a lot easier.

Are they? Has this been demonstrated at all? It is entirely possible people being reinfected are not particularly infectious themselves.
if someone is reinfected to some sub-clinical asymptomatic level and their adaptive memory immune system is able to quickly clear it, it is actually more likely than not they won’t be very infectious. This could even be the case if there is some latent low level of viral replication.
I don’t know this is happening of course. These are all things we have to find out.
My contact with others is minimal, and at have yet to see anyone out here coughing when out of the truck to fetch food or hit the bathroom. Most people out here are keeping their distance from each other, including personnel at shippers and receivers and at truck stops. Also, truck stops have taken a lot of steps to keep people from standing too close to each other, minimizing contact with customers, as well as the staff frequently disinfecting surfaces in the store and bathrooms.
Probably my biggest risk of exposure is when I restock my foodstuffs for the truck at Walmart, as I keep the truck well stocked with soups and other canned foods, as we’ll as some perishables I keep cold in a Yeti cooler. But even there, people are keeping their distance, and when I first enter the store, I immediately go into the bathroom after getting a cart to wash my hands and also get soapy water-drenched paper towels from there to disinfect the shopping cart handle.
I’ve also fashioned a makeshift mask with a ladies hairband and coffee filters, but need to instead get some bandanas and hair ties to make to make better fitting and thicker ones. And I have a spray bottle with soapy water that I’m also using to periodically wipe down areas of the inside of the truck can within easy reach that I tend to touch a lot, as well as clean my hands and phone.
Now, if only Congress can pass another relief bill with the provision floated by Schumer a few days ago to have truckers (and other “front line essential workers”) during this crisis get $25 grand in “hazard pay”, I’ll be out of the red from betting against Tine-God’s earlier predictions about the death count over/under from way early in this thread. I know I’m probably more likely to hit a hard eight at craps on a single roll than for such a “hazard pay” bonanza to reach my bank account, but a man’s gotta dream! Amirite?
If you are a type 2 diabetic and obese the chances are extreme you are near death's door regardless of any virus. Here is an idea, eat 1,400 calories a day and spend your evenings walking at the truck stops you park at for some type of exercise. Stop stuffing yourself with Doritos and that garbage behind the glass at a Pilot. You are your own worst enemy. Don't blame the COVID-19 if you get clipped you were destined to die from something if you are obese/diabetic/60. It's called life pal or in your case death.
ebola is biphasic with the secondary symptomatic phase being fully capable of spreading.
your 'these are all things we have to find out' fox news flavored non-science is embarrassing.
please do better. google is right fucking there, bring yourself up to speed.
you have a lot of catching up to do.

Ebola can be spread through direct contact with an infected person, which most often occurs at a burial ceremony where mourners touch recently deceased victims. Exposure to Infected Body Fluids. Another way that the spread of Ebola may occur involves direct contact with the blood or secretions of an infected person.
There was a reason Ebola did not spread. No funeral I have ever been at were people touching corpses. This virus is quite different. And it looks like it is petering out. How we went from 2.2 million deaths last month to a trend of under 70,000, just a hard case of the flu when all said and done. You don't hear about ventilator shortages anymore that much is clear.
we'll see how this all shakes out when OSA starts riding the subway again. that'll answer some questions.

yes agreed. Get out there OSA. Put your money where your mouth is.
id gladly match that donation if he would get to the bottom of this whole respirator-gate situation. we now know that c19 is basically harmless against someone of his strength and appetites. all we need from him is a positive test and a fake cough to find out exactly whats going on in those suspiciously well funded treatment tents.

Most people here couldn't look like gobboboy if they tried.
You can't get as big as gobboboy unless you're predisposed to obesity. Now, some of that is within your control. It's much tougher than for normal people, but even those with gobbo's genetics can be a normal weight if they put major effort into it. However, you'd be foolish to state that gobbo had the same genetic chance to be obese as everyone else.
