    Jew tip of the day: Contacting Amazon rep during coronavirus phone center closure

    You can't call Amazon right now. Here's how to get help quickly.

    1) Log in to Amazon

    2) Go to Live Chat: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us

    3) Start a chat with their bot (you'll see a giant button to do this)

    4) Type "representative" in the box, and then click that you want a live chat

    Don't try to chat with the bot itself, as it's useless.

    Edit: The chat reps suck (see posts below). If they don't help much, ask for a supervisor. They will have one call you, so that's one way to get phone support.

    i have to say i see gas in my neck of the woods at around 1.75 a gallon..pretty incredible

    California prices have barely gone down. They always make sure to rip us off for gas prices in this state because they can get away with it.

    Also, the gas taxes in this state were already high, and the moron voters were tricked into voting in an additional gas tax in 2018.

    Warning though, the chat system is staffed with monkeys who ignore what you write and give you generic answers.

    I'm chatting right now and feel like tearing my hair out. The problem with chat is that you can't immediately cut through the bullshit like you can on the phone.

    I also need to REBUY this item but not from that merchant. I don't trust them, but the other merchants cost more.

    Ohh... interesting. If you ask for a supervisor, they take your # and have one call you.

    Took about 15 minutes, and then I got a call and it auto put me on hold, but.... interesting. I wonder how long until someone gets on.

    I have an app that notifies me anytime there's a delay in shipping on Amazon. It then gives me a link to start a chat and a script to copy and paste into chat. It's their policy to give a $5 courtesy credit for a shipping delay. Takes less than 60 seconds.

    BTW I'm wondering why Muck Ficon gave me a "facepalm" red rep for that chat I posted.

    Did you not see that the guy was ignoring everything I was asking, other than the return? I wanted to return it, to have the third-party merchant reported as a scammer (which they were), and to be able to rebuy it from a different merchant at the same price (with Amazon covering the price difference).

    He just kept saying, "Yeah I'll refund you, of course you can just go rebuy it", and ignored everything I wrote.

    Explain the problem with my unhappiness with this. Do you think the guy gave me good service? FYI the supervisor who called me did exactly what I requested above, and understood me on the first try.
