CCL is exploring converting their ships to oil tankers.

They will keep the free soft ice cream dispensers on the upper deck.

Shipping popped but I just heard they are as important for oil storage as for actual transport.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one: A tech startup raises buckets of money at a crazy valuation but then struggles to turn a profit. Along the way investors discover the startup doesn’t belong to the high-margin world of tech companies at all, but is instead grinding it out in a low-margin industry. This is the story of Uber and Lyft, and more recently of WeWork. Now, one wonders if the same fate will befall Robinhood.

    Free, free, free

    Speaking of free
Lol the free tax prep shenanigans like TurboTax. I always joked they sold your data to google but it was just normally fraudish bait and switch shenanigans.

In fairness, the forthcoming Great Trump Giveaway will be very Bernie-like.

For instance, the employee tax prize is like 300b.

It really doesn’t matter anymore in the grand scheme of deficits. That ship has sailed and is sitting quarantined off-shore

The cruise ship bottom fishing is maybe the best example of something that I find foolish. I get the psychology of picking the worst - feeling the bounce will somehow be greatest. The fall was so well publicized that it’s just lazy.

A question I ask myself is how will behaviors change post virus?

Certainly, folks are just gonna remain a little skeevy about cruising. It always had some degree of reputation for communicable disease. Corona just confirmed the feeling. That’s not gonna be forgotten soon.

Personally, I told myself that my cruise 2 months ago would be my last ever. I hit my fill of the never ending hustle for incremental revenue. Always selling. Part of the appeal used to be no wallet. The recent tip scam at the end of cruise just angered me. The experience has declined and I’m out.

You never worked from home before. Now you do. Your boss realizes, “hey, we don’t miss Fred”. It’s cheaper to have fewer employees in your building. Hell, your building and physical plant can be smaller.

You decide to avoid the movies. You never fired up Amazon Prime or Netflix. Hey, ya know there is a lot to dive into. Less tickets are sold post virus. Btw, I finally did fire up Prime and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is fucking great. I might have low testosterone.

If you have some similar ideas or saw an article about companies or industries that might get permanently dinged I’d love to see it.

like really savor that: the WHO announced a pandemic and instead of stepping out of the fucking spotlight so we can minimize noise and conflict and come together around one candidate, he wants to get on stage and 'debate' on sunday.

this is why people dont trust bernie.

I love ya man but nobody is expecting any sage wisdom from Biden. Our nation isn’t turning our lonely eyes to him.

Biden may have been an “anti-socialist-Bernie” proxy. He may win the general because he just isn’t Trump.

NOBODY perceives Biden as fucking Winston Churchill

He’s a drug store Indian at best.

if bernie had bowed out, the market would have rallied, because people want simplicity and focus right now. its really that simple. bernie chose to prolong this and the only reason i can imagine is because he wants the market to tank so trump looks worse.

shits really seedy no matter how you cut it.

edit: by rallied i mean closed less red and possibly green. the WHO declaration fucked us into a recession, there's no getting around that at all.
