big dick actually helped make my point about antisemitism on the left. So I thank him for that. He's a lifelong Democrat who hates Trump, hates Republicans, etc.
Yet you see his opinions about Jews. This is far more common than you think. There is an erroneous assumption many make that modern antisemitism primarily exists from the right, but in reality the present US right wing is mostly pro-Jew and pro-Israel, save for a few idiotic hicks who have become especially vocal in recent years.
On the left, antisemitism has had a tremendous rise over the past 10 years or so. They present excuses that "Israel is an oppressive regime" or "US Jews are greedy rich people who control everything and oppress poor people", so they can hate Jews with the excuse that they're just standing up for the downtrodden.
Some things have changed in recent decades regarding the positions of the right and the left, and in two cases they've actually swapped sides.
In the past, it was the left pushing for unrestricted free speech, and some forces on the right opposing it. Today, almost all of the right supports unrestricted free speech, while a good portion of the left (especially the young left) opposes it, under the guise of 'hate speech".
In the past, antisemitism came from some of the right, whereas the left was very Jew-friendly. This has also switched. Today, the right is mostly pro-Israel and welcoming to Jews (save for a small percentage of ignorant hicks), whereas hatred of Jews and Israel has become very mainstream on the left.
Look at how the left celebrates open anti-Semites Rashida Talib and Ilhan Omar. The Jew-haters on the right are inconsequential losers with zero influence, and most of the party dislikes them. The Jew-haters on the left are often in high profile positions (such as Congress), and it has become mainstreamed to where guys like big dick feel totally comfortable stating their antisemitism along with their left wing politics.
And let's not even talk about the antisemitism which has been long present at the very left wing NY Times (google it).

Think about college campuses back in the days when they weren't censoring speech. You could go to the public square and express the most controversial viewpoints possible, and you wouldn't be thrown out. However, you weren't allowed to follow around individual students and repeatedly harass them. That's basically the situation here.
Let's say I do what blake seems to want and ban those engaging in antisemitic speech. What do I do with people like Pooh who use the N-word to describe black people? Ban them too? What about the people who post derogatory terms about gays and transsexuals? Ban them, as well? Or should I only stop the Jew-bashing but allow all of the other racism? That would be incredibly hypocritical.
Running a forum which allows free expression of ideas comes at a cost of allowing ideas expressed which people don't like.
I did ban FPS_Russia because he was posting incoherent garbage which didn't even relate to the topics being discussed. But aside from things like that, I'm letting people express their opinions, even if those opinions are offensive and ignorant.

As a whole, they are successful and have contributed highly to many advancements in US society and culture, especially considering their very small percentage of the country's population.
Need a good doctor? There's a good chance he's a Jew.

Do you like when scientific or medical advances occur? There's a good chance some Jews were involved.
Do you appreciate good movies and TV shows? There's a good chance many Jews were behind the production.
At the same time, Jews commit a very low percentage of violent crime in the country, even when adjusted or their percentage of the population.
Jews were also behind a lot of the social equality initiatives in this country, and are actually a very compassionate people as a whole. (Sadly, this has also led most of them to the political left, wrongly believing that "compassion" means you have to vote Democrat.) Jews remember their history of being poor and downtrodden at the beginning of the 20th century, and want to help those currently in those positions.
Aside from athletics, where Jews are admittedly underrepresented, many things which are great about this country were partially the result of contributions from Jews.
What about the negative stereotypes about Jews, such as them being greedy, money-grubbing, and chronic complainers? Yes, there is some truth to this for some Jews, but that's actually a side effect of valuing money and being responsible with it. You will end up complaining more and pushing for the best deals if you value money, and you'll also likely be more aggressive with conducting your business in an optimal fashion. At the same time, you don't hear too often about Jews being scammers or con artists -- just that they are hard bargainers.
Regardless, I just don't understand the hate for a group which has lifted itself up from poverty, become educated and successful, and has constantly been at the forefront in the fight for social improvement and equality.
