In Connecticut, Republican Bob Stefanowski ran a very strong race for governor in a blue state and as of 5AM is up by 4k votes. Unfortunately for him, by lunchtime on Wednesday he will probably be down by 20k. No votes have been reported from either Hartford or New Haven even though polls have been closed for 9 hours. The claim is that voters who waited in the rain dripped water on their ballots that forced them to be counted by hand. The strange thing is that this only happened in two heavily Democratic cities. This kind of seems like that old Mayor Daley of Chicago trick of holding off reporting the Chicago vote until he knew how many votes they needed to win a statewide election in Illinois.
