I'd suggest a fitbit, not for the days you go hiking, those days will always be good.
For the lazy days. to make sure you hit the minimum.
IMO, Weight loss is a like gambling, in that one bad day/session can offset an unlimited amount of good ones.
If you hit 10k a day, (even if it means pacing the floor at 11 pm) you'll won't have as many bad days.
I've lost 30 pounds since 8 weeks ago.

Weight loss is no longer a goal of mine. It happened without me trying at all (something I never thought I'd say again).

The focus now is upon getting better. I'm actually not happy when I look at the scale and see more weight has fallen off, because eventually I'll be facing the situation where I need to avoid losing weight to stay away from being underweight.
