Unfortunately I lost my license flying to Las Vegas, probably somewhere in BWI or on the plane. My wife had to overnight my passport to get there Thursday. This messed up my plans of opening 4-5 sports betting apps Wednesday and doing 2500 or 5k tier credits. Anyways, i did not get to verify the pay table at rio and did 2500 tier credits at DSTP JoB at planet Hollywood on my last day. The machine is actually very fun lol i was up $1600 at one point after hitting the quads with 8x multiplier but am stubborn and left up $400 to ensure diamond status. Off the topic of this thread, the sports betting apps worked great and in my opinion are a must have for anyone looking to bet sports in Vegas.
New TC limits for Diamond Lounge are in effect in Vegas as of last week
First of all, long time lurker but I wanted to ask... wifey and I are heading to vegas in June, and I am plannning on trying PH as listed above. assuming I am running $35 per hand (5 play) on those machines, what kind of bankroll do you recommend in order to hit a 5k TC grind session?
thanks again guys, great boards here - much appreciated.
High variance on this machine due to the Double Super Times Pay thing.
Recall you will be cycling through $50k coin to get to 5000 tiers.
If you fail to hit a royal, that's 2%, so tack on another $1000 expected loss. Your chance of hitting a royal is fairly low in the number of hands you'll run. So, barring a royal, average luck on the rest of the hands would net you around a $1500 loss.
Then there's the Double Super Times Pay situation. You will be sinking $14,285 into the "tax" for having the Double Super Times Pay bonus. How much will you recover? In the long run, you would actually come out ahead in that part, but if you run bad with the bonus, you can lose several more thousand.
So you're going into it expecting a $1500 loss, but a $6k loss wouldn't be unrealistic if you don't run well.
You might want to consider simply getting a Founders Card instead to get Diamond: https://thepointsguy.com/2018/01/max...derscard-2018/
Thanks for the reply, Dan. I have actually been using the founders card for a couple years now, which has been more than worth it. However, we have been playing enough lately that I probably dont NEED it, but I am starting to think about trying the Cosmo for more of my play.
anyways, I am at around 10k TC for the year so far, and so if I could hit 5k plus the 10k bonus, that would get me back into the diamond club. that said, not really trying to chase comps here - the goal is to not flush 3k down the drain. we only play VP and craps.
long story short- i am thinking I will bring 3-4k to play with over the weekend. I was thinking that might not be enough with such a high variance option as the PH one, but I refuse to go to the Rio (especially without the shuttles)
So, option 2 is no longer available, Dan! I am at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe this weekend and went through each machone in the High limit room. Then, I checked vpfree2 website and sure enough, it was not listed there.
So, playing the 50-play 25 cents machine (and, 50 play is not mandatory on that, minimum is 8 play ($10 minimum). I played 40-play and hit the royal from AKQ, so things looking good.
As always, thanks for this wonderful service. This blog has been number 1 on my list for the past 12 months. Must have lost unnecessary thousands before I discovered this!!!
Thanks for the updated info on Tahoe. Will change my list!
Glad this thread has saved you money!
*Seven Stars Membership is by Invitation Only
Is it worth it?
Trying to get Seven Star Membership?
Or because of new restrictions maybe it's no longer worth it unless you're really a high roller?
Regarding Horseshoe Southern Indiana - Was there two nights ago and there are 4 Double Bonus games with the correct paytables on the back wall of the 4th floor, pretty easy to find.. There were also a couple of 7/5 Double Bonus games on the inside part that you wouldn't want to play. I didn't count the other games you listed as I didn't have the info with me to check against. Didn't have time to actually play, so could not confirm it give 1 TC per $10. I couldn't see anything on the outside of the machine that specified.
I may only need about 2,000 tier points to get to Diamond, so I will probably just put 10K through to get the 1,000 + 1,000 bonus and hopefully will run good.
Also not sure if this was stated anywhere regarding resort fees. Currently they are not assessed if you are Diamond at time of booking, even if you are not Diamond when you stay at the resort(at least in Vegas). We did this twice in 2018. My brother's diamond expired 1/31/18 but we made two reservations for Feb 2018 and Sept 2018 back in 2017. We stayed at Harrah's and Flamingo. We were not assessed Resort fees either time. It is crucial however that you don't change the reservation once booked if no longer a Diamond at time of the change. At least that is what an agent I talked to said. None of the hotel employees seem to know about this as they saw we were both Platinums at checkin and said we would be assessed the fee.

The employees were correct AND you are correct.
If you book as a Diamond and lapse to Platinum before the stay, often they won't catch it, and you will dodge the resort fee. But if they catch it, they have a right to charge you.
Conversely, if you book as a Gold or Platinum and then make Diamond before the stay, you are entitled to have them re-rate it and remove the resort fee.
The difficult question nobody can answer is, "What if you become Diamond DURING the stay?"
You will get different answers to this one. My recommendation if that happens is to go to the front desk, and say, "I'm Diamond, but somehow I'm being charged resort fees. Can you fix this?" Then hand them your Diamond card. If they ask when you became Diamond, you can lie and say it was before the stay but after the booking (they probably won't be able to tell).
Would advise you guys to not bother with 7s in the future. I earned about 90% of my points thru video poker and the rest via wsop.com and random table games. Email is so poorly worded it looks like he made it up on the spot.
So basically CET is saying despite the fact you dropped enough Coin In to qualify if you don't keep spending more and more and being a bigger fucking degenerate each trip then fuck you.. That's amazing indeed.. I don't know of any other program that says you have to actually spend more each trip then the previous otherwise we don't want your business.. JFC this is going to blow up in Ceasers face and I cant wait to see it happen..

Question does this scheme have any chance for Diamond status (no resort fee on upcoming trip being the goal)? Not sure if anyone has tried to get the TR status upgrade from flashing another rewards card.
Going to Vegas by myself in October to burn some excess vacation time, and I have booked 7 nights free (comp) at different casino's 3 of those nights will be at Bally's, but have to pay resort fee.
I don't normally go to Harrah's properties anymore due to the paid parking situation and prefer to stick with MGM for my limited trips where I can park for free from my mlife Gold status. I always rent a car in vegas and go at least twice per year for many years. When I don't take my wife I look to stay cheaply as I am only in the room to sleep.
According to this promotion below my mlife gold can be granted diamond upgrade at Harrahs at least temporarily which may remove the resort fees until they figure out I am not giving much action mostly playing poker.
Any chance I could apply for this upgrade on a Sunday and try to use it for waiving the resort fee when I check out on Thursday. I guess even if I have to wait until next trip to use it would be worth having. I ordered a total rewards credit card just to get out of paying for parking. Thanks

Yes, you can upgrade to Diamond through a status match and that will remove resort fees.
Here is more information on it: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...tus-quot-match
Also, if you're in Atlantic City, there are even more options: https://vegascasinotalk.com/forum/sh...major-programs
Thanks Druff good info. Looks like Caesars lowered their standards on this down to Mlife gold which is only a mid tier level. In fact anyone can get mlife gold easily without any play, we got it from the hyatt credit card. Once I get diamond, could use do the same trick with it to get upgraded cards at other properties as long as they are still trying to steal customers from each other.
Hi Druff,I am asking if there are any updates to the Las vegas scene situation due to i cannot travel for awhile. thanks, see you at the WSOP...I pray.
P.H. has a promotion that if you get 5k tier credits in 24 hrs you get the Diamond card. 5k tier credits +10k bonus. video poker=1 tier credit for every 10$ in. will reset Jan 1,2020. Before i jump in i thought i would run it by you again here. Is it worth it? Or is a M card w/same play better? Thanks.
