Man, I have never found politics more tiresome than present. You can’t sit down anywhere and not be bombarded by it. My liberal friends expect me to be as incensed every day as they are, and who has the time or energy for that? My ambivalence irritates them.

My Trump friends are always looking for validation that I don’t think they are idiots, when in reality, I’ve thought almost all of them were idiots for as long as I’ve known them. They’re simply idiots I find redeeming qualities in. Many of them voted democrat for the longest time. I still thought they were idiots then. My opinion of whether they are a dumbass or not was never ideological.

This whole Trump thing has brought so much shit better left unsaid bubbling to the surface, and it’s hard to avoid the conversations because it’s so ever present. I’m to the point I long for the end of the Trump presidency not so much for what he may screw up, but just because I’m sick of hearing about it.
