I also thought rounds were tough enough to score that octagon control played a factor in the scoring.

I don't want to see that fight again. I don't want to see Wonderboy vs Woodley again either. There's some interesting fights in that division without Thompson in there that have potential for a lot of excitement.

I watched the fight a second time today and found every round but the fifth tough to score.

The one positive I take away from the fight is the hope that Wonderboys boring fights are moved to the prelims. The guy is likable and all class but other than a few highlight reel strikes his fights are as boring as they get.
I figured it was first 4 for wonderboy, last for till. Looks like plenty of people gave till round 2, I can get with that, in hindsight.

Found this to be a good analysis of the fight and its judging. Emphasizes how low output the guys were, how little there actually was to be judged, and focuses on round 4.

Will check it out tomorrow, have a sleeping wife beside me right now. What fights do you want to see in the WW division? I'd like to see the winner of RDA/Covington take on Woodley. Till vs Lawler is a nice fight on paper although I don't think Lawler is what he used to be and it's a great fight for the UFC to build Till up.

I should rephrase what I meant since it came out wrong.

Because I think Wonderboy perhaps didn't get a fair share here I'm okay with a rematch but it's not a fight I'm wanting to see again either.

It's one of those weird situations of where do we go from here?

If they do fight again hopefully it's not for 2 to 3 years.

Yeah, purely based on the spirit of competition Wonderboy still seems like a top 3 guy and really deserves to be in those big WW fights. He's just too boring and I think the UFC will take the opportunity to give Till a push and make Wonderboy fight some lower top 10 guys.

Anyone catch tonight bare knuckle event? Reading nothing but rave reviews on the UG. Sounds like they will attract some names.

I caught most of it, was pretty fun. Plenty of people you recognized from UFC & Bellator, even if it was someone like Johnny Bedford. As soon as 1 fight ended, the next guys were ready to enter the ring. 2 minute rounds, and most fights didn't go more than 2 rounds, and only 1 fight seemed like a guy took a dive. Eric Prindle got knocked out with 1 punch, which seemed much better than the hundreds of nutshots that usually happen in his fights.

Last night was the first night of a tourney, they said something like the next round is in September.

The PFL is on tonight, as far as I know it is their first broadcast on their way to losing millions and millions of dollars this year.

Some great UFC fights on Saturday, but a bunch that probably shouldn't be happening. Rashad Evans, Clay Guida and Joe B all on the early prelims, Ubereem on free TV despite making almost half a million even when he loses, and CM Punk and Andrei Arlovski both on the main card.

That last round should have been 10-8. But you have to beat the champ. Whittaker not going out was impressive. At least twice I thought he was done.
It's hilarious that we as a society think everyone can be a dr, a lawyer, an engineer. Some people are just fucking stupid. Why can't we just accept that?

The UFC judges are awesome. The fighters barely get paid vis a vis every other elite athlete in the world. Comparatively, they fight for free. The only elite athletes that make less are the American Ninja Warriors.

Then they ** really * fuck them with random number generators they call judges.

I love the sport ibut t's obvious the random number generators are perceived by ownership to be good for business because it sets up rematches but it's so larcenous and dishonest and unethical I can't believe these stupid fucking fighters go for it every weekend.
