I lean James based on a lot of things as painful as it is to admit but Jordan was cooler for sure.
Both are cocky as hell and great so we really can't blame them but at least Jordan cared about the fans by entering the dunk a few times while to Lebron it was always beneath him.
Even though he's not obligated to do so Lebron should have at least entered the dunk contest once for the fans. It's good for the game and top tier players making a ton of money should do what is right.
At least Kobe Bryant entered the dunk contest his rookie year.
Again, this contest has nothing to do with legacy but shows a persons overall character.
Lebron and his one hour "I'm taking my talents to south beach" special was one of the most self absorbed things ever in sports.
The guy is great at the game though nobody can deny that taking all these scrubs to finals.

Moved the Bryan Colangelo Twitter scandal discussion to its own thread, because I think it's interesting enough to stand on its own: https://pokerfraudalert.com/forum/sh...is-own-players

This game was a clear and accurate portrayal of stupid at it's finest .
1st : I thought the bad calls where about even for both sides ( Besides the reversed charge call with 36 seconds left in the game ) My feeling initially was it was a charge and that was the call on the floor . The reversal was IMO a clear way to keep the game close by the league .
2nd : J.R Smith is stupid? or High? I know this guy smokes a ton of weed but it's game 1 of the NBA FINALS you are on the road . How the fuck do you not know the score ? The way I see it is he just doesn't give a shit either way .
3rd: It was way to obvious in overtime that the warriors where 100% trying to cover the 13 points .
Those are my takes on what was an entertaining game . Only thing that makes that game better is if someone just knocks Draymon Green out . I just want that guy to get punched in the face and go night night
Good Luck
Gookie
Hood has been that bad. Basically like Clarkson last night every time he gets run plus he refused to come into game when they were up 30 a few series ago.
Even though Korver looks 27, he’s 37. He can’t handle big minutes plus they really can’t afford to have him targeted on defense every time he’s in. That’s the Cavs main problem, they have too many bad defensive players. You can fade one in the lineup at a time, but when you have Korver and Love on the court at the same time it’s problematic.
JR’s a much better one on one defender than those guys, he just gambles too much and does dumb shit, but a lot of those metrics are a product of playing on the second worst defense in the NBA. They mailed it in all year. If he’s playing within the framework of team defense, he’s better than the alternative.
For as much as a fuckup as he seems, JR will take this shit harder than anyone. He’s seems like the type that it wouldn’t bother, but he’s almost overly sensitive. Him trying to lie and say he knew it was tied in post-game presser when he clearly didn’t doesn’t bode well for his state of mind. He could be mentally fucked for the remainder of this series with the way he’s wired. If he doesn’t hit first shot next game, he’ll go like 1/9 and overcompensate.
Has to drive Lebron crazy. He can tell you where every player is on the court at the 4:40 mark of the 2nd quarter and what the defense was doing in the post game interviews. Almost perfect recall. That his teammate didn’t even know the fucking score has to make him just rage internally. He played an almost perfect game and had a chance to take game 1.
That backcourt has just killed us this playoffs. Hill misses the ft and J.R. does his thing.
For all the talent on that bitchmade Warriors team, if the Cavs had a Beal or McCollum type at SG, I’d like them to take the whole thing.

Most other Portland fans disagree with me on this, since they tend to have an irrational love with any blazer....except fatass Raymond Felton who mailed it in his one year here. BUT, if LeBron was to stay in CLE, its a clear win-win trade before the draft to do McCollum for Love + #8 pick as a framework for a trade. PDX isn't getting any better with those 2 in the same lineup, as good as they both are individually.
Yeah gut, that is talked about a lot on the Cavs boards also given Love’s connection to Portland. Like you said though, regardless of team, NBA homers are the worst when discussing trades. If you throw in the pick with Love people lose their mind. Everyone always thinks teams will give up gold for your garbage. They think the pick and some bad contracts like TT and JR will get it done. It’s always amusing. You go to a Heat board, they think Hassan and Dion Waiters will get Kahwi. Like those two contracts aren’t negative assets. The delusion of NBA homers makes discussion always amusing.
you guys think a guy like mccollum makes a difference in that game? I go the other way...I think they need more of a guy like Patrick Beverly or avery Bradley (of his Celtics days)...think they have enough guys who can give offense between LeBron, love, korver that if they had a guy that could actually play reliable D they'd be in a good spot...
I mean, there’s a lot of guys who may even fit better, but yeah, I think CJ is a pretty huge upgrade from JR, but then you have to replace Love. You’d lose Loves bad defense and add scoring from SG, thus you’d be able to play TT more. It’s all just theoretical until Lebron decides. CJ is just a guy who kind of fits even if Lebron leaves and Portland may be interested in Live when you look at where he’s from and that what they’re doing isn’t working either. For the Cavs, even in a rebuild they get younger, but if Lebron leaves, they’d likely rather just have the pick. Everyone is pretty much in cap hell outside like 8 teams, so it’s a hard environment to try to get better. You need to match everything when over. Pretty much anything that can be done to improve backcourt for Cavs will be improvement. You can get an upgrade from the pick alone if Lebron stays, but you need to also shed salary in the Cavs situation with that bloated payroll.
So basically the Cavs needed Irving for this series.
As much as it will kill Cavs fans again, their best hope is for the team to blow up and rebuild. They are in cap hell next year again unless Lebron takes a 10 mill salary or they can find a way to dump TWO players and the pick. They will really have to make some magic to somehow dump Love + (JR/Hill/Thompson). Or somehow convince someone like JJ Reddick to play for cheap.
obviously, the NBA Finals are *serious business.*
