Hood has been that bad. Basically like Clarkson last night every time he gets run plus he refused to come into game when they were up 30 a few series ago.
Even though Korver looks 27, he’s 37. He can’t handle big minutes plus they really can’t afford to have him targeted on defense every time he’s in. That’s the Cavs main problem, they have too many bad defensive players. You can fade one in the lineup at a time, but when you have Korver and Love on the court at the same time it’s problematic.
JR’s a much better one on one defender than those guys, he just gambles too much and does dumb shit, but a lot of those metrics are a product of playing on the second worst defense in the NBA. They mailed it in all year. If he’s playing within the framework of team defense, he’s better than the alternative.
For as much as a fuckup as he seems, JR will take this shit harder than anyone. He’s seems like the type that it wouldn’t bother, but he’s almost overly sensitive. Him trying to lie and say he knew it was tied in post-game presser when he clearly didn’t doesn’t bode well for his state of mind. He could be mentally fucked for the remainder of this series with the way he’s wired. If he doesn’t hit first shot next game, he’ll go like 1/9 and overcompensate.
Has to drive Lebron crazy. He can tell you where every player is on the court at the 4:40 mark of the 2nd quarter and what the defense was doing in the post game interviews. Almost perfect recall. That his teammate didn’t even know the fucking score has to make him just rage internally. He played an almost perfect game and had a chance to take game 1.
That backcourt has just killed us this playoffs. Hill misses the ft and J.R. does his thing.
For all the talent on that bitchmade Warriors team, if the Cavs had a Beal or McCollum type at SG, I’d like them to take the whole thing.
