Agree that he didn't need to throw it because it was gonna be over right away anyways.
Considering the speed at which it happened it could generate some damage, but I don't think that single clipped knee to the head was the determining factor to the KO, all in all Stephens is a scary guy period.

I only got to watch a few minutes at a few different points, but every time I turned it on I got a quick lol. One was when Bennett (I think?) was basically like 'your management is a cancer, and you should really think about replacing him before you ask for a license again.' The other was someone (was listening, didn't see who) telling Jon about using Stephen A Smith as a moral compass or something like that.

Its so weird. In some respects (MANY respects), its almost impossible to look at his situation and think USADA could do anything but 4 years. He's insanely irresponsible, he testified that he never took their courses and was ignorant to their rules and had his manager forge all that shit for him, and his defense was essentially saying 'how dumb could I be to get caught with this in this tiny amount?' which means everyone has to forget about the many many many dumb things Jon is already on record as doing to accept his argument.
But if you ever listen to Jeff Novitsky talk about Jon in the last bunch of months, he seems like he's lobbying for the smallest sentence, even if that's 2 years, but no more. I always forget Jeff works for the UFC and not USADA, but when USADA ALSO works for the UFC, this shit gets murky. Normally the order of business for USADA is to pile up the bodies, take a sport and find as many guilty parties as they can, thus proving their worth. With the UFC paying them for their services, its very much not in anyone's interest to crush the guy with 4 years when 2 seems passable and the UFC got bills to pay and someone has to sell these goddamn ppvs...

Not so suspect when you consider the guy normally fights in a half-assed casino in the smallest state in the union, usually not even in the main event. He's just not a smart fighter who probably doesn't really listen to his corner when he's fighting either.
