I still don’t think there’s any way in hell it happens.

The UFC was literally photoshopping pictures to make Toney appear in shape.

Toney had been shot to shit for 10 years. Mayweather is still a very good fighter. Toney is beyond punch drunk.

Mayweather has no real chance to win, outside of a homerun punch. Toney didn’t even have that.
That's fair, but no boxer has a chance in MMA. It's literally the very worst standup style transitioning to MMA. Muay Thai and Kickboxing are by far the best but even with those two styles you must make huge adjustments to your stance and footwork to avoid a take down.

I agree it doesn't happen. However I do think there's a chance Mayweather and McGregor box again, sadly. Mayweather is trying to stay relevant for a reason and McGregor is active replying to all his social media posts. I think they are cooking something up. I also think McGregor doesn't want the Khabib or Ferguson fight. He can posture all he wants but those are very dangerous fights for McGregor and he's a clear underdog in both matchups.

Romero missed weight by 2.7lbs. He is such a dip shit. I hope Rockhold destroys him tomorrow.

Owned. I still stand by my point, especially in the talent rich lighter divisions where every MMA fighter has drilled the shit out of their take downs and take down defense. Even at his best Tim Sylvia was fucking terrible and the HW division sucked even worse than it does now.

There's a reason very few MMA fighters come from a boxing background first. It's almost always BJJ, wrestling and occasionally Muay Thai/Kickboxing.

Worth noting that Yoel came in over weight, so Luke is not entirely without a moral high ground here.

I couldn't find any articles about Luke doing this. I believe when your opponent comes in over weight you get an automatic 20% of his purse if you take the fight. I believe Romero was paid 350k for his last fight so it's a nice bonus for Luke. You're right though, fighting a guy who doesn't make weight and likely didn't go through a brutal cut like you did really is a disadvantage. Rockhold seems like a miserable fuck but I do enjoy him giving White and the UFC a hard time, they surely deserve it.

I just read that no UFC fighters receive any compensation for their likeness in the UFC video game. Am I wrong or does that just seem brutally unfair to the fighters?

Nothing in the UFC is fair to the fighters. Was about 10 years ago when the UFC cut Jon Fitch and threatened to cut the entire AKA team if they didn't sign over their rights to their likenesses in perpetuity, for the video games and pretty much everything else.

you can knock _two_ zeros off those sums bare minimum for what they would net for a mma fight and the entirety of like 3 ufc mens divisions would riot in the fucking streets if conor took another 6 months off to 'train' for that freak show.

...id still put action on floyd tho.
You actually, really think they would knock 2 zeroes off those sums for an MMA rematch?

Holy fuck, you gotta be kidding. They would double both those figures guaranteed & is the reason I think it happens & was always the plan.

Okay, I just parlayed Hunt & Rockhold for tonight & just noticed that Roy Nelson is an underdog in his Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix fight with Mitrione.

Don't people know they already fought once & Mitrione got KTFO? Put $100 on Nelson @ +150 because Mitrione sucks.

Cyril Asker vs Tai Tuivasa, both these fat asses look like they could make middleweight if they threw a few vegetables into their diets.

Jimmy Smith is great doing color. I wonder what is going on with Rogan, he has all the money in the world so maybe he is getting out of MMA? Why else would they hire Smith? For the record I'm a big fan of Rogan, he knows his shit and is a lot of fun.
