also its interesting to note that an ongoing source of tension between obama and the dnc is that for his reelection, he created an org entirely independent of the dnc to handle his campaigning/outreach. and basically dismantled it when he won without performing any sort of knowledge transfer to the dnc. this was a huge problem when it was time to start doing outreach for hillary.
