At least Oprah has built and managed profitable companies. She also has the ability to speak above a 4th grade level and relate to people. Is that really how low Trump has set the bar is for elected office now?
This is actually what pains me the most. It's like all you need is to be a flashy speaker and be on TV. Unfortunately there will be a lot of brain dead democrats that want her in. This is what happens when all major news networks become entertainment channels.

There is a growing suspicion that we live in a Post Politics era here where if you put up a competent politician, the other side will just roll out a total fruitbat who will mischaracterize everything the politician has done has backwards and self serving etc etc.
Oprah is a total fucking disaster in many maaaany ways but shes also reasonably intelligent and peaceful and accomplished and even-keeled, so really and I mean really we could do worse.
