Well looks like a Toronto bet really was a Trapper John MD.

Had all the hallmarks of one, but I just couldn't do it on the Clips. Just stuck to the total.

Under came in easily and just had to avoid OT.

Even verminaard couldn't curse this one.

My under NBA picks have been the most successful of anything I've posted.

Speaking of the Clippers game, look at the spread.

Toronto has completely obliterated everyone recently, especially much-inferior competition.

The Clippers, who were already fairly bad with Griffin in the lineup, is without Griffin for awhile.

Yet Toronto is just -4.5 right now, which changed from 5.5, despite the fact that over 2/3 of the bets (and $) has been on Toronto.

This entire situation screams "Trapper John MD" and would seem to indicate that the Clippers is a smart bet, but this is just one of those situations where, no matter how I try to look at it, it's hard for me to picture the Clippers reliably covering this. I do realize Toronto is back-to-back on the road, which is probably the reason for this, but if there's ever a time to avoid taking what appears to be the sharp side, it seems like it's this one. The sharps do love the Clippers here. I still can't get behind it. I'll just take the under and root for no one to score.

Clippers had Gallo come back a couple games ago and he has looked pretty good. They have another decent player coming back tonight (Teodosic), although I doubt he will play big minutes first game back.

Gallo was a scratch, but Teodosic looked pretty good for his first time playing in several weeks. If they can get the entire lineup (minus Beverly who is gone for the season) healthy at once they will be a decent lower end playoff caliber team.

I looked at lasalle/nova game at 21 and thought it was just way too many points but didnt pull the trigger on it because of the beatdown nova put on st. joes and didn't know how good lasalle was...nova shot the ball like shit in that game and bj Johnson is a damn good player so that kept lasalle way under the number...

the nova/temple game tomorrow is at temple and I just have a feeling nova could be a little overvalued in a big 5 game...don't know much about temple's ability to keep it relatively respectable...

Among other reasons I won't get into out here, Spurs have picked up the pace in their last 3 games, even against other teams which are not known to frequently run up high scores. Totals have been 222, 207, 205, and have easily covered the over spread each time.
