Seems like the guys running it are the devil but are making the rules they play by hard on themselves to kill it....hhhmmm

At any rate I sold out most all of it a short while ago and glad I did, hope to see this dip further before getting back in tomorrow at some point.
Seems like this is a classic sell the news event going on right now. I suspect the Wall Street Jews will be loading up this week and then push it to $50,000+ before yanking the rug from underneath. Rising tide lifts all boats, so maybe some of the microcap altcoins could see some fantastic returns.
Ya I am just so conflicted now, I can see how they could play this multiple ways, I suspect if you put conspiracy theory aside and look solely at profit then the long has to win, it doesn't need to even be manipulated. The short works too and allows them to buy up coin BUT they have to hope prices return and they do not damage it too bad.... very conflicted. I am now looking at 50/50 split alts and BTC. Just a hedge against a BTC dump into alts and a BTC jump covered as well.

    Hedgin baby,

The days of moving $50 by bitcoin are over.

Hopefully your transaction will move soon but if you look at the mempool you can see a sea of underfunded transactions that no miner will want to pick up.

To move money quick you're likely to need to pay between $5 and $10 in fees.

I haven't followed bitcoin much recently. But doesn't that sort of make it useless as an actual currency?

Back in 2014, a couple restaurants in town started accepting BTC and people made a big deal about how it was the future. Are they seriously expected to pay 10+% fees?

Damn...Micon was spending like 0.5 to 1 BTC on those dinners.

yeah this point is, if nothing else, the point of the thread; the handful of reasons bitcoins were created no longer exist.

This couldn't be a more perfect story for Micon.

    North Korea is stealing bitcoin.

North Korea and bitcoin are the two things he loves most in this world.

word on the ave is that the nicehash rumble was state sponsored btw. people are saying dprk but the longer the btc stays in https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/ad...h6H4t6jh1mB4rq, the more i start to wonder if it was domestic.

It seems to me it is moving away from a "currency" label and is moving more to a "store of value" ( like nerd gold)

That said down the line if they make improvements to the network then it can also be used as a currency but lately at times the fees to xfer have been super high but still not too bad if your sending larger #s somewhere

The circulating supply of Ripple is 38 Billion. Almost impossible for it to make a huge move. You need to gamble on coins with small supply.
