I'm beginning to feel quite fortunate that I've never met up with anybody from this board. Sounds like too much drama for me.

East coast scott comes across as a total sped on the real grinders group. His joke game is on a 4th grade level at best and this behavior from him is so unsurprising it's not even funny. Listen to any segment he calls into radio and tell me that this isn't a man who sweats profusely and becomes a lobster at the slightest hint of sarcasm. You can't.

Sorry this happened to you (again) Drex. When i was in Vegas we never got to meet up, but you were very supportive and texted me often to make sure I was enjoying myself and gave me some good tips about the city. I appreciated that.

These things are not worth anything extra and they never will be. At the end of the day they are casino chips

People collect poker chips, and I think the $5 ones are the most popular to collect. But from what I can tell people who collect then usually like to get 1 from each casino they go to or whatever. or just get one of each limited edition chip that they can find. Not sure why you'd get $565 worth of $5 chips from the rio

Like Brandon covered most of the bill already. Regardless of the Mac and Cheese order if Scott is paying for 2 people he is on the hook for a good chunk as is.
A lot about this story doesn't make sense, but I believe Scott thought he was going to a comped or mostly-comped meal, and then felt like he got fucked by ending up paying a lot more money than he expected.

Of course, this was his fault by leaving minutes before the bill came (despite Brandon requesting he stay), which pretty much killed his ability to give input regarding what was fair for him to pay. If you aren't going to be okay with an even split, you need to either stay and point this out when the bill comes, or state this before you leave.

Personally, I always hated when people would leave before the bill came, because I would always end up getting shorted by them, and I would always encounter a nasty attitude when attempting to ask for the difference later on. It's also rude to do in general. Figuring out multiple-person dinner bills is not a fun activity, and it's kind of an asshole move to say, "Yeah, you guys do this, I'm taking off."

But if you do that, you give up the right to bitch about how it was done.

Scott also seemed frustrated that Brandon didn't evenly distribute his comp to everyone, but rather fully paid for two people and then split it the rest of the way with everyone else. But this was Brandon's comp, and he had the right to do with it what he pleased. Honestly, if I went to dinner and someone had a comp, I would be thrilled to get any piece of it, and wouldn't have the nerve to bitch if the person gave more of it to someone else.

Anyway, I talked to Scott about this at the time, and he really, honestly believed he got screwed. I tried to reason with him that he didn't.

The way he saw it, he was invited to a "comped meal" (not true), and then was forced to pay for the expensive Lobster Mac group appetizer that didn't order or want (possibly true, but that was his fault for leaving and not specifying any instructions for what he expected to pay for).

Now, when Scott left for the night, had he specified, "Okay, so my wife had only 2 steaks and one side of potatoes, so please only charge us for those, and anything else you want to split between the group, leave us out", then that would be a different story. Then it would be understandable if he got pissed if he was asked to pay for the group appetizers. But he just said, "Hey we gotta go, figure the bill out and tell me what I owe", and then was mad because everyone chose to split it evenly.

Well, that's why you don't leave early -- at least without being very specific about what you expect to pay.
If we split the mac and cheese evenly, that would mean an extra $12 per person. 12 dollars. 12. Would you have acted like this for $12 dollars?

    Hi.

It's always hard to plan a large group gathering when everyone has different dietary needs/desires, financial constraints and so on. In hindsight, CUT was probably not the best choice for this particular gathering.

The day of the meet up, by nature of me living in Vegas, I became the defacto organizer for this event. I had 7 or 8 different people calling me asking where to meet as well as what time. I tried to gauge everyone's opinion on where to potentially go but I got a lot of "anywhere is fine with me"

To make clear a few things that have been asked and speculated here:

I never promised to anyone ahead of time that I would absolutely have a comp. I said it was a strong possibility. I was uncertain if my host was working that evening. I could not just ask for a comp from any random host for reasons that I am sure most can figure out.

Proof of this is that my host actually showed up half way through dinner, introduced himself to everyone and handed me a paper comp.

When OSA ordered the lobster mac and cheese a lot was going on. There were probably 5 different conversations minimum going on. Everyone was distracted. No one thought to inquire as to what the cost was.

As mentioned, Scott and his wife left literally moments before the bill arrived despite my plea to hang around for a few more minutes.

Scott ended up paying me $250 in total for him and his wife later that evening after protesting and taking a hostile tone with me.

Scott and his wife each had a steak, each had their own appetizer (the rest of the table shared family style several appetizers) and shared several large sides that we ordered as a table.

I am not sure if they had any of the lobster mac and cheese.

I also am confident they didn't order any alcohol.

So two steaks, sides, two appetizers, probably an over priced soda or iced tea and gratuity probably came out to be $125 each anyway. So his real issue was my comp dollars not eating up enough of the bill.

To be honest, certain members of PFA had a few to several drinks. In all honestly my comp absorbed a ton of the alcohol costs. I realized this when everyone was handing over money but I looked at it twofold.

    1) The 9 of us that dined had a remarkably enjoyable evening, all the later drama withstanding. The service was impeccable. The food and presentation amazing. In all likelihood we would all never be together again as a group or in some cases even see each other again in this lifetime. So to me, I wasn't going to sweat any of it. I just wanted the memory of the enjoyable experience.

    2) Just because I live in Vegas, made the reservation and got a $500 comp does not make me group leader or more specifically the person that has to hound everyone over submitting their correct payment for their food. I put in aforementioned comp and $300 cash of my own. More than enough for the two meals I paid for, plus my own, as well as gratuity.

After Scott returned home, he made it clear to me via text that if he had known he was going to have to pay lol $125 for him and his wife, they would not have joined us.

Be that as it may, I did not think the $125 per person would be a impediment on their finances seeing that Scott had traveled to Vegas and back home three times during the World Series. He had plans (and did go) to fly from the east coast to LA to play on live at the bike and fly back home after only 24 hours!

I'm just saying, this is just utterly fucking ridiculous.

I'm not an expensive restaurant guy but I have been treated to the best and it's something I'll never forget.

Drexel is larger than life and if you hit him up and want to hang do you expect to hit Taco Bell?

The oldest idiom I remember is "neither a borrower nor lender be" or something like that.

Something in that. I cannot say more strongly, that someone trusted with a debt as a friend, who defaults on said debt, has a bigger problem. The money is not the point obv it's the trust violated that can't be regained.

Now I most certainly don't want to be a dick and post Scott's prior text messages to me over the last 6 months or so just for the amusement of the boards and to prove how fucking nuts this guy is.

But, the dude sends me a text at 2:30 today saying "Go fuck yourself- that's what (insert name of my grandfather that died in 2004) said after a blowjob from Jeanne"

Kind of creepy that he somehow found the exact name of my paternal grandpa who passed away over a decade ago and added Jeanne, someone he had met in person several times into this insult.

I'll recite a funny story that both Druff and TheSideDish were privy too.

We were eating Korean BBQ in Vegas during the summer with Amanda Stinchecum and others.

Amanda asked out of the blue, "Whats the deal with that guy Scott from Pfa?"

We inquired. "What do you mean?"

    Stinchecum "Isn't he married?"

Table (minus side dish who could care less) "yes he is married why?"

Stinchecum "He keeps sending me messages on facebook asking me if I want to meet up with him in Vegas for lunch and to hang out. I don't even know him other than us being on PFA radio at the same time that one day."

Me: "Wait, so he contacted you on social media after the radio show asking you to hang out with him?"

Stinchecum: "Yes! Many times! He is really really creepy"

    Amanda will validate the above.

Something very similar happened with Jennicide where Scott (and this is a major LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL) wanted me to think him and Jennicide were good friends and went way way way back in the day.

He texted me a screen shot (I still have it) of him commenting on a post on her facebook. Lol impressive.

I messaged Jennicide about massaging Brandon Cantu's feet in the bathtub and afterwards brought up Scott.

I don't even need to tell you all what her response was.

I really hope that this wont have a negative effect on my future staking/donation threads. It would be a shame for this needless drama to affect my ability to enjoy my aspiring man of leisure lifestyle that I have grown accustomed to living.

It's bad enough that Scott fucked up my BAP by going on radio and accusing me of scamming people once, lets not make the same mistakes ok guys? Thanks.

The guys here can latch onto the most trivial thing and spin it into epic argument, hatred and entertainment. It’s the cornerstone of PFA.

The one that comes to mind is Morty’s $40 dollar freeroll win - he only had to ask for it nicely

    1000’s of posts. Legendary

I just want to be clear I see Drexel as offering this as comedy in the same way. Something as trivial as a dinner check.

Even Morty despite his bouts with being destitute kinda knew how crazy the freeroll prize argument was.

Scott just seems crazy. His out is to admit this and move on. But they never do.
