Yes they are, but an R8 is solid collateral, unlike a bunch of Rio WSOP chips.

    True

And btw not once did he text and call me about it even though I was a week late . We were just both busy
The truth about Larry turns into the truth about SDouble's mental isssues which then turns into the truth about cmoney & his slow-paying ways.

Give C$ a break he had to liquidate and it took time, no biggie.

And if he didn't and it took a month to send $50k he is just a really slow counter.

Oh, I get it that it takes time to roll all those coins from the big jar but he could have at least started with the quarters instead of the pennies.

Exactly, they should invent some type of machine you could pour your coins into and it auto sorts them for you. No lie I never knew they existed until a month ago and realized at that moment how sheltered a life I live as it was also my first time in a grocery store in months.

The one thing I cannot still cannot figure out is how the Lobster mac and cheese fucked so much shit up for Scott

Like Brandon covered most of the bill already. Regardless of the Mac and Cheese order if Scott is paying for 2 people he is on the hook for a good chunk as is.

I guess a fair question is why Scott has not been invited to this thread to give his side of story. All we have is everyone kicking the shit out of him. That is not fair for sure. Maybe he has a different opinion of what happened?

More psychological, 3 figure mac and cheese will tilt you.

May be a great move to invite an enemy to dinner and when he is ordering tell them how good the , mac and cheese is, once they get it and the bill, tilt 4 life.

A lot about this story doesn't make sense, but I believe Scott thought he was going to a comped or mostly-comped meal, and then felt like he got fucked by ending up paying a lot more money than he expected.

Of course, this was his fault by leaving minutes before the bill came (despite Brandon requesting he stay), which pretty much killed his ability to give input regarding what was fair for him to pay. If you aren't going to be okay with an even split, you need to either stay and point this out when the bill comes, or state this before you leave.

Personally, I always hated when people would leave before the bill came, because I would always end up getting shorted by them, and I would always encounter a nasty attitude when attempting to ask for the difference later on. It's also rude to do in general. Figuring out multiple-person dinner bills is not a fun activity, and it's kind of an asshole move to say, "Yeah, you guys do this, I'm taking off."

But if you do that, you give up the right to bitch about how it was done.

Scott also seemed frustrated that Brandon didn't evenly distribute his comp to everyone, but rather fully paid for two people and then split it the rest of the way with everyone else. But this was Brandon's comp, and he had the right to do with it what he pleased. Honestly, if I went to dinner and someone had a comp, I would be thrilled to get any piece of it, and wouldn't have the nerve to bitch if the person gave more of it to someone else.

Anyway, I talked to Scott about this at the time, and he really, honestly believed he got screwed. I tried to reason with him that he didn't.

The way he saw it, he was invited to a "comped meal" (not true), and then was forced to pay for the expensive Lobster Mac group appetizer that didn't order or want (possibly true, but that was his fault for leaving and not specifying any instructions for what he expected to pay for).

Now, when Scott left for the night, had he specified, "Okay, so my wife had only 2 steaks and one side of potatoes, so please only charge us for those, and anything else you want to split between the group, leave us out", then that would be a different story. Then it would be understandable if he got pissed if he was asked to pay for the group appetizers. But he just said, "Hey we gotta go, figure the bill out and tell me what I owe", and then was mad because everyone chose to split it evenly.

Well, that's why you don't leave early -- at least without being very specific about what you expect to pay.

That is a great move. I can't wait to invite someone I hate next year during the WSOP to go to CUT with me, tell them I'm inviting them to dinner so we can bury the hatchet, recommend the lobster mac, and then act surprised when they start steaming at bill time.

Fortunately that trick would never work on me because I am too much of a cheap Jew to ever order without asking how much something costs.

Being poor and having not had any mac and cheese would have sucked more.

Did he or his wife eat the mac and cheese? If so he is on the hook, end of story.

Also for the record, this situation saddens me, because I liked Scott. He was a good contributor to radio, and I liked him when I spent some time with him during the last few WSOPs. I even went to a dinner at Matorano's with him and his wife.

Scott sent me a Dodgers jersey similar to the Marlins one he bought Brandon. Like Brandon, I appreciated this very much and thought he was a great guy.

I just don't understand this irrational behavior out of him lately. I hope he can take a moment, reconsider the entire situation, and understand that he's mostly being unreasonable.

I got the feeling that sdouble wanting to leave was nothing more than an angle shoot in hopes that Brandon just ate the whole bill, and the the biggest reason he was upset was because it didn't work.

We will never know for sure, but I don't think it was.

    I don't think Scott is a scammer or angle-shooter.

I think he generally has a good heart, but seems to have some kind of paranoia and thinks others are screwing him when they really aren't.

Scott had some low number in his head regarding what the bill would be, and he freaked out when he found out the true amount. He got angry, believing everyone intentionally stuck him with a share of the lobster mac (and other group stuff) he neither ordered nor wanted. He didn't understand that this only occurred because he ditched out early and gave no instructions on how he wanted the bill split, so everyone just split it evenly, aside from those 2 people Brandon was taking care of.

He also oddly had no appreciation that, even with the high bill, he was getting some benefit from Brandon's comp.

Once he had that in his head, it seemed impossible to get him to see it differently.

Anyone care to have a theory on this?

Like I guess if you are a huge poker fan maybe take home a couple of $1 poker chips? Or buy some fake chips at the airport that say WSOP on them in the gift shop to bring home as gifts to people? Maybe a sweatshirt or a cup?

But why the fuck would anyone take home $565 in low denomination chips ( especially someone concerned about Lobster Mac and Cheese prices) and put them in cases like they just found a fucking Honus Wagner T206?

These things are not worth anything extra and they never will be. At the end of the day they are casino chips
