Regarding the broke people who went to dinner, they showed up more socially, and were fine not eating. Brandon felt bad and paid for their meal with his comp, which was very generous.

Regarding Scott here is where it stands right now.

Brandon is holding those chips for him. Scott wants them back and wants to resume the plan of paying Brandon $100/month until the $300 is paid off.

Brandon doesn't want to return the chips until he gets the $300, fearing he will get rolled, which is understandable.

I offered to be the middleman. I told Scott he could submit the $300 to me, and that I wouldn't release the $300 to Brandon until I knew the chips were on their way back. This way Scott had the guarantee that Brandon wouldn't screw him (or just be too lazy to send them back in a timely fashion).

I thought this was very reasonable, but Scott is refusing to do this, stating that he doesn't want to make any payment until the chips come back. I don't understand this, because he knows there's zero point zero chance I'll roll him, so he has a firm guarantee that he will get those chips back (or at least they'll be in the mail) before Brandon touches his money.

Druff, with all due respect, you can't mediate a situation when we are both not being told the same story. The dude sent me the chips as payment. Not as collateral. I made it clear I wasn't holding them until 2019.

He asked to borrow money.

He agreed to a lol $100 per month.

He couldn't honor the agreement.

He somehow is now missing a toe.

Honestly I can't believe nobody asked the price before ordering. When you're told that there's an item "not on the menu" and that it's "special", you need to ask the price.

Also, they probably could have gotten some of that taken off the bill, as it really was the server's duty to warn them that they were getting an "appetizer" which costs over $100.

Too bad you're not as much of a baller as Bottomset, and still have to ask how much appetizers cost.
