This probably deserves it's own thread. So mods, feel free if you concur. If not, let's look at this thread like Inception. A thread within a thread.
This story is about a guy named Scott. Known on PFA radio as "East Coast Scott", rarely posts but screen name 'Sdouble".
I met Scott via this forums roughly 2 + years ago.
After hearing me on radio for a while, he started texting me on my radio number. This has been a common way in the past for me to meet listeners, forum posters.
He politely introduced himself and made small talk at first. Very nice and polite. He seemed genuinely interested in PFA radio. He told me he was a world class duckpin bowler (still no idea what that is) and as he got to know me better he told me more about his life, his job, his health etc.
We maintained a back and forth for a while via the radio text line while I was still hosting radio.
SUMMER TIME/WSOP 2016
Scott mentions to me that he is going to be at the Rio during the series hanging out. He asks if I'll have time to meet him. I tell him sure. He tells me in advance he will be riding in one of those motorized scooters as he had just had some kind of knee surgery.
I meet him in the main casino at the RIO. To my surprise, he had brought me (2) gifts. One was a 12 pack of chocolate Entenmann doughnuts. I had mentioned on a prior radio show how I loved these little guys, so Scott thought it would be funny to bring me a box all the way from the east coast.
The second thing was insanely nice. It was so nice in fact it was kind of shocking.
He brought me a Miami Marlins baseball jersey with my last name imprinted on the back.
I didn't know what to say. He knew again from radio that was my favorite baseball team. I thanked him profusely. I was very appreciative and kept stating that he didn't have to do this.
I only relay this story because I do want to be as fair and honest about what transpired before I get into how crazy this dude actually became.
Still mid summer 2016. I think I see Scott one more time during the series before he leaves. There was no formal or informal PFA meet up that year.
Our friendship persists off and on through the end of 2016 into 2017 mainly via text and by Scott participating more and more with radio.
WSOP/SUMMER 2017
It's the last weekend of May. The WSOP is about to start. Handicapme (from PFA) who I had never met is visiting Vegas. Scott will be here as well during the same time.
The 3 of us plan a dinner at the Palm in the Forum at Caesars. This was the same place where the infamous Donkdown dinner happened with PeterDC.
Dinner is fine. Good food. The company is nice. We all talk about between courses how appreciative we are that Druff runs PFA at a loss and won't allow any shady advertisers that could scam us to supplement his losses.
After dinner either me or Handicapme suggest doing CCR for the bill. I only mention this because it will be brought up again later.
Scott's card is pulled first. Handicapme and I offer to split the full tip.
We walk to the Bellagio for a bit and then all part ways. All things considered, it was a nice, relaxing evening.
2017 SUMMER OF LOBSTER MACARONI
This has been much discussed, debated and analyzed but a brief recap.
This was the first PFA dinner meet up in quite some time. Maybe ever. I can't recall a big group sit down dinner type thing since the Donkdown days.
I talk to all the participants to gauge their interests in various foods, restaurants etc.
We decide on CUT at the Palazzo because
1) I have been there and its good.
2) I am able to get a $500 comp to apply to the bill.
Besides me, at dinner are Scott and his wife, OSA, jack daniels, nikki, matos, cleatus, and michael.
This is kind of weird to say but I kind of have to in order to fully explain the story.
Two Pfa'ers at dinner tell me privately that they don't have enough money to eat. One of them literally had ZERO dollars on them. They both were content not eating and just hanging out. GTFO. Never ever ever going to sit and gorge on amazing food while other hungry pfa'ers are trying to fill up on pretzel bread and butter.
My host comes. Brings a $500 paper comp. I announce that I will be paying for pfa'er X and Y and then the balance of the comp will go towards everyone's meal.
Fair enough right?
While we are ordering our dinner, OSA's eyes look like Tom Dwan is in the room wearing a thong.
I say "OSA WHAT IS IT???"
He advises me to look at the table behind me who on further inspection are receiving what appears to be a mouth watering side order of lobster macaroni and cheese.
OSA inquires to the waiter. The waiter states its an item not on the menu and that its a specialty dish for regulars. The waiter states he will ask the chef if he can make one for us.
The chef says yes.
Its delicous albeit we all as a table only get 1-2 bites each.
The meal was fabulous. Great conversation. Michael makes it just in time to devour a plate we made for him.
Moments and I mean moments before the check arrives, Scott asks if he and his wife can be excused to return to their room. I tell Scott we are all about to leave and to please wait a few minutes, we'll all settle the bill and leave together.
Scott is adamant that he wants to leave now and assures me he will settle with me later.
He and his wife leave.
The bill comes.
We can only laugh upon finding out that the lobster mac and cheese, that we all had about a spoonful of was $108!
No one even thought to raise a stink or complain.
People started throwing in money and we left.
About 30 minutes later I end up seeing Scott at the Flamingo. We were all going to play a mix game.
I mention that he owes me $125 each for him and his wife. His face immediately turns as red as the lobster in the lobster and macaroni. He starts yelling at me that he wasn't going to pay $125. The amount was too much. If he would have known it would cost that much him and his wife would have eaten at PF CHANGS!
I calmly say these things (not in this particular order)
1) I added the $500 comp which I used $200 of for two members, plus I added in $300 more of my own cash.
2) You shouldn't have left before the bill came as I politely asked
3) I never nominated myself to be in charge of itemizing ever members bill.
4) We left a 25% tip as the service was impeccable
He still was protesting, but he handed me $250 total.
I thought the ordeal was over.
We played our cash game. Scott wore headphones the entire time (obviously pouting) and didn't converse with us at all.
POST LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE FALLOUT
Weeks went by and I thought we were in the clear.
There seemed to be no more discussion of the lobster mac and cheese fallout.
Scott called me/texted in mid August.
He told me he was having financial difficulties. He sent me a text (again I am serious) telling me that the dinner at CUT, as well as the lobster macaroni had ruined his summer and caused significant financial hardship.
I thought he was joking but he wasn't.
He had traveled from the east coast to Vegas 3 times during the world series as well as a one night trip to play on Live at the Bike all within a few weeks. I wondered how could he be having any financial difficulties??
He asked me to borrow $500.
I sent him $500 to his bank within minutes with the agreement he would pay me back $100 per month for 5 months.
About a week after I had lent him the money, I got a call one early fall morning from OSA.
He told me that Scott had called into radio the night before and told a tall tale of lies, deceit, and innuendo regarding one step and the lobster mac and cheese. He stated on radio that one step scammed everyone at dinner, had purposely ordered an expensive side, made other crazy claims.
I went back and listened to the segment.
Scott was screaming and yelling so loud it became apparent his face was once again as red as the lobster. Some might say at that point, he and the lobster became the same.
I called Scott and told him I didn't appreciate him disparaging one step and telling lies on radio as that truly didn't go down the way he described.
He started screaming at me again telling me one step was a scammer and also used some homophobic terms that had nothing to do with the issue at hand. He also re-emphasized how that meal screwed up his summer.
I was floored that I had to keep hearing about this dinner.
I went on radio the next week to tell the truth of what occurred at dinner.
Scott took offense to this and blocked my phone number as well as blocked me on facebook messenger.
However, before he blocked me he messaged me telling me that "YOU ARE A SCAM ARTIST JUST LIKE OSA. I KNOW YOU CHEATED ME AT CREDIT CARD ROULETTE WITH HANDICAPME BACK IN MAY"
I was floored.
***Readers Note*** This has been a very long post. Please tune in soon for the conclusion of this story.
1) Will Scott tell Brandon to go fuck himself and not pay him back the $500?
2) Will Scott see another member from that infamous dinner at his casino on the east coast and immediately again turn RED like the lobster in the macaroni and go into yet another rant-months later about said side dish?
3) Will Scott apologize to Brandon and blame it on stress, health problems, maybe even a little Scott on the way in his wives tummy?
4) Will there AC UNIT go donkdown in early September and cause even more hardship?
ALL OF THESE QUESTIONS AND THE CONCLUSION TO COME VERY SHORTLY
Which radio show was this?
I missed it.

Those short on cash shouldn't be telling their host that they can't afford to eat at the nice restaurant. Because 9 times outa 10, cool host will always be generous and front up for their poor guest. And poor guest fucking knows this.
So make your excuses why you can't make it and go feast on some fast food w/e.
also anyone that insists on itemizing checks and not just splitting it evenly is a sociopath
I hope I didn't put him in that sort of spot when he treated overworked and stressed me to Buzio's (RIP) several summers ago. I don't exactly recall the circumstances. But Brandon, I remain grateful for that, it really lifted my spirits! Let me return the favor some time.
