Conor without any support from the rest of the card will pull larger numbers for his next fight than this last mega card with GSP's return did. I wouldn't be surprised if he beats it by 20%. Conor also fought a fight in the last year that did 6m ppv buys. He wasn't sidelined doing fuck all, if anything he may have built a bigger base. The UFC has had a rough year with ppv numbers. Rousey is gone, Lesnar is gone, Jones is gone for awhile. Again I'm not saying he will get equity but to suggest he's just another in a long line of stars is ridiculous. He's their biggest star ever by a mile.
Even Dana admits Conor is bargaining with substantially more power than anyone else in UFC's history has. How are we even debating this? The numbers do the talking.
