For a lobbyist that traveled throughout Africa and the Middle East, I don't find that unusual at all. Having certain stamps can create a lot of headaches at customs. And using a burner phone for some of these countries is probably a wise precaution, even for regular tourists. Remember all those olympians getting their phones hacked in China the minute they stepped off the plane?

Just saying, you know. Yes, Manifort made the tools of the trade available to himself, but every aspiring minigarch does.

None of which is illegal. Just so you know. People get multiple passports all the time, as some countries won't let you in with a passport from a country they deem hostile. But you did not know that, did you?

interesting election results coming from my area. maybe a sign of what's to come in 2018?

democrats gained two seats in the largely republican, delaware county council (a philly suburb) for the first time ever

the signs for the democrats were “Vote Nov. 7th Against Trump.”

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/08/u...-congress.html

dems also dominated in neighboring chester county: "Early returns Tuesday showed a possible stunning victory for Democrats in Chester County races for four row office positions, reversing a decades-long trend of Republican domination in countywide elections."

They also might not want to pay more taxes so Trump can pay less. Or lose their health care. Or, or, or...

we know midterms are largely opposition votes, but i think the takeaway from this is that the dems *might* be reaaaallly motivated to come out in force in 2018. we already thought this was likely to be the case, but winning in republican strongholds (which has never been done here) is a bit of a surprise.

does this make it even harder for GOPers in swing states to work with trump on anything other than tax cuts?

i think the gop could easily reclaim any and all lost ground by pivoting focus and support to an actual adult who isnt pence or ryan.

so yeah the gop isnt reclaiming shit. and with 9% of trump's 'likely voter' base disavowing themselves of him, he owns just enough GOP property to control it but not enough to keep it alive.

I think this off year election shows that middle class suburban people are not team retard. And if you raise taxes on people making between 100k-500k, it will get worse. So, all the Republicans saying they need to pass the tax bill to prove to their voters that they can govern are missing the point. Idiots that vote on NFL players kneeling are still 100% Trump. Regular people, who generally vote Republican, are clearly appalled.

They could reclaim those white bread suburban Republican strongholds, but they'll lose the base forever and lose pretty much everywhere if they disavow. A true moderate Republican has almost no prayer for about the next 6 years. It's basically take your beating or hug up on the orange retard and hope you get lucky. You'll be associated with him regardless of position. Shit, trannies and gays and basically anything with a D next to it overperformed. If he continues to stay marginalized for his one term and accomplish nothing, he's actually a gift given the Democrats are in total disarray themselves. A lot of these winners were true shit candidates from a quick perusal across the country.

This is why virtually none of the voices trashing him the loudest are democrat, and why the few democrat voices who brought up the "I" word were shuffled off the stage.

Its very clear that the dem plan is to wait for him to burst entirely into flames and take the establishment GOP with him.

Really, it's been a perfect first year for the Dems considering they don't have a single seasoned charismatic candidate that I've seen that could win any office of note if not for the anti-Trump vote. Sometimes you get lucky and the guy across the ring from you drops dead before the bell rings in the first round.
