Who is posting? Everyone. By rule (look it up if you like) everyone is treated as a singular pronoun. "is" is the verb, since it is singular.

The gif things are fun. Things =subject, gif is a modifier or part of the subject. Things ARE fun.
Do you say these apple things are bruised? I hope not. These apples are bruised. Subject apples, plural....are.
