Why the fuck is a UFC champion in a 24/7 Fitness working out with the commoners?
A lot of professional athletes like to hit up local gyms to troll for women. I live in Calgary and the Flames have a state of the art workout facility at the Saddledome (their arena) but I see a bunch of them chasing girls at the gym I workout at on a regular basis.
Curious, dawned on me this morning. If this involved a woman, no way he fights GSP, Dana would have talked about it. So is there a case where a UFC fighter on that level has been arrested for assault (of a man) and UFC did nothing during or after ?
people in the UFC get arrested all the time, but if there are no charges pressed, they're pretty much not gonna do anything, save "we did an internal investigation and fuck everyone else."
Anthony Johnson was accused of domestic violence at LEAST 3 times, and the UFC suspended him for like 30 seconds the final time. Rampage JAckson went ham on an entire city, driving his monster truck into shit (multiple hit and runs, with injuries), no sleep for days, etc, didn't affect his career at all.
So no, nothing is going to come of this, careerwise.
the ufc does not look to reach beyond the findings of the legal system.
if a fighter is facing charges, the ufc may suspend them pending resolution of those charges.
but bisping is facing no charges at all. the real question is; would the police have pressed charges if it was a womans throat he grabbed?
answer: not sure, not entirely convinced anyones throat was grabbed.
