But I dont see how Obama could somehow placate the White republicans who couldnt fend for themselves in a post-fossil fuel world without making those same resources available to America's Black fuckups.

The economy is changing, the world is changing, and it was his mandate to give people the breathing room they needed to adapt. What they did with that room was on them, and, for the most part, predictably depressing.
