I stayed at MB three weeks before the shooting. I had a rental car parked in the garage and made multiple trips getting luggage, coolers, etc. My only comment here is it's an easy walk from the garage to the elevators and there's virtually 0.0 security, staff, etc. monitoring the foot traffic. This guy could easily make as many trips necessary back & forth and no one would pay him any attention.
Wife & I will be in Vegas next weekend and for the first time in a long time I'm staying off strip. May be stupid but this shit has me freaked. Not enough to cancel though.... my gambling addiction is strong.

Stephen Paddock: Motive of Las Vegas gunman may lie in his gambling habits
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stephen...mbling-habits/
"He was a substantial gambler. It was a job to him," Eric Paddock said."he was a rich guy" who hung out in casino hotels but didn't have a lot of friends. He called him an independently wealthy man who basically gambled for a living. The massacre has brought new attention to the world of high-limit video poker and casino comps where high-rollers are given all sorts of free items to keep them gambling. The biggest gamblers - often known as whales - can get such perks as chartered planes, butlers and free lodging at a $35,000-a-night villa.Paddock's brother said he wasn't at that level, but he gambled enough that he got free rooms, poolside cabanas and high-end sushi meals exceeding $1,000."He won cars and $250,000 checks and all this stuff from the hotel," Eric Paddock said.
What, If Anything, Does Stephen Paddock’s Gambling Have to Do With the Las Vegas Shooting?

“This guy was a dyed-in-the-wool video poker player who would play the $5, $10, and $25 machines, which is high denomination but not super high,” Curtis said. “He could easily approach 1,000 hands an hour with his eyes closed, which means he’s betting over $100,000 an hour.”
Yet the game he played — known as Five Aces video poker — has the highest payout average of any game in the high-end salon, Curtis said. Paddock, reportedly a former accountant and real-estate investor, likely knew his math and made up the “leakage” — about $8.70 per $1,000 played — by enjoying perks, according to Curtis. As a gambler, Paddock was rated a “low 7,” said Curtis, meaning the casinos had verified he had between $1 million and $3 million in his bank account (that is, low seven figures).
While Paddock was clearly a high-roller, Curtis said it is probably inaccurate to call him a “professional gambler,” the term Paddock’s brother used to describe him. A wealthy player can essentially break even between winnings and perks, but nothing about Paddock’s play implied he was really making his living in the casino.
High stakes gamblers are creepy guys with suicidal tendencies.

Homeboy went to a gun show in Phoenix a few weeks ago and attempted to buy tracer rounds, but couldn't get any so he just got a bunch of regular bullets. Tracers are dumb as shit here. He might as well have had a neon sign that said "here is my well hidden sniping position". Nobody with any military background would do that.
Also, you know what weapon traffickers don't do? Drive 5 hours each way to a gun show to get bullets.
The girl that cut his hair at Great Clips said he smelled like liquor 2 months ago. Once again, making him the least observant radical wahabist muslim ever.

But he tried to explode fuel tanks by shooting them. Despite hitting them with rounds, they didn't explode as he had likely hoped (from watching too many action movies/TV shows). Using tracers with those rounds might have caused the fuel tanks to explode given that a tracer round burns a chemical in flight to light up.
I don't think he was participating in any terrorist groups, i think he may have been supplying them, by cohorts i meant people he was involved with who were all running guns to Afghanistan during the admitted CIA involvement with the mujahideen.
I don't know if ALL 33 guns were registered to him, but if so it's not like all of those fit in a hand bag, you're talking about some serious logistics here, not including the bullets and accessories.
Obviously wasn't about gambling losses, my theory is he was wacked out on pills and wasn't using his best judgement on the people he was associating himself with. This just seems like the classic FBI entrapment scenario where they use undercover agents to lure some suspected terrorist into a sting operation run to entrap them into comiting a crime and right before they pull it off the feds come swooping in. My speculation is that there is a second level that consist of extraterritorial nefarious groups that consist of devil worshipers who get off on this shit and happen to be in our very own goverment orginazations who hijack said operations and actually go through with some of these acts to terrorize the people so they can further their own agenda. Meanwhile if there is an operation ran by an agency that goes wrong and circumvented by the second level, they would just back off and pretend nothing happened as the patsy is dead and they would have to admit that their investigation was hijacked by people they don't even know.
Ofcourse it's my speculation, this could just be a guy that was wacked out on pills and succumbed to his own psychotic thoughts and went through with them.

it doesnt need to be an either/or scenario of course.
he could have been involved in any number of shady grey market dealings and any number of federal agencies could have been involved.
and that could have had absolutely no bearing on him descending into madness.
also you can be an arms dealer without ever touching or even seeing a gun in real life.
if you really want to learn about the subject, this is the most bang youre going to get for your buck:

Wow you actually think a totally unvetted person/people who have zero connections in the military contract world can just bid on a multi million dollar contract to provide foreign fighters with weapons?.....................interesting.
I do agree that it can be an either or scenario tho.

Before you mock please keep in mind that there was an actual plan layed out by the Pentagon to blow up a plane with Americans in it and blame on Fidel...........like that was a real thing.
Just imagine what will be declassified in 50 years.

i dont understand, are you being sarcastic or did you read the article or are you just massaging your fingertips or something
because that article is literally about a totally unvetted person/people who had zero connections in the military contract world and just bid on a multi million dollar contract to provide foreign fighters with weapons, and won the bids, and got the contracts.

also lets be clear; when rumors start on 4chan and implicitly undermine our faith in a branch of our government, ones intelligence is measured in skepticism, not suspicion.

Just to be clear, when we speak of 4chan, we are all on the same page that it is a propaganda arm of the Mossad, right?

The other thing that i have not seen discussed much is how the hell did he become a millionaire with his background? I know of no former government workers who doubled as small time accountants that were millionaires with multiple houses, planes, and retired so early. And since they didn't come from money, yet there was enough for him to spread it around to his family, where did it come from?
You can't get into an elevator lobby without being carded. Security at entrance to pools and all other entrance exit.
My guess is the effort is unsustainable and has little real value. $100 room gets you the run of the place.
I haven't seen anyone get aggressive or disorderly. I imagine they would get smashed now - no mercy.
Absolutely none of the players talk about the event at the tables or whatever. The locals do in the Arts District or Container Park and such. VegasStrong is kind of a thing.
Spent more time behind the Stratosphere in that neck of the woods. The marijuana biz is fully evident with construction etc. Met some marketing guys working in that biz. Fascinating.
Life goes on. Prolly no safer place on earth now.

you would argue with a brick wall. And then are quick to call others out for what you think are ill-conceived notions when they challenge your linear thinking. <Sigh>
He was 64. He hadn't worked since the 80's you said. So let's say he last worked in 88 just to give you the benefit of the doubt. That was 29 years ago. So, he was 35 when he stopped working b/c he was sufficiently wealthy to get enough loans to build a real estate business worth millions when he sold it, all on a government salary. Sure thing.
