Sorry dude, but I live here. This happened 12 miles from where I live in a place where I go a lot. I was at LIB... I was on the strip right before this happened. My mom drove in between Mandalay and the concert about 45 minutes before this happened. This hit close to home like I don't think you can understand. I have friends and employees that were there that were directly effected by this. I've had to comfort stressed out employees the last couple days who are in tears over this shit.
I've had to read bullshit conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory from people that don't live here, and all it does is hurt the city that I call home. i honestly had zero opinion about this one way or another, until LOTF pointed to the NYTimes reporters' tweets. made me think that the ISIS connection may be real, but we'll see. i definitely don't think this was a hoax. not into conspiracies. also it's not like i'm rooting for this to be ISIS as that has the potential to be way worse for america imo
