Can someone explain to me why the sounds of gunfire are closr to the person filming this and then far away? Am I missing something? Is this fake?

Why you are hearing the second report and can't track is due to the soundwaves bouncing off of one of the best reflectors, GLASS! Your hearing the same report 2-3 times at full volume right there. Think sonar or radar, and echos.

To the first about AR not being used on hunts I used my 3-5 times a year minimum, and when we are hunting hogs in South TX we use an Automatic usually on three round burst chambered in 300 Blackout with a can on it. Setting off a transsonic 300 Blackout from a bird kills hearing!

I am receiving some inside information regarding Stephen Paddock's video poker habits.

Reportedly he was not a video poker fish, but was an advantage player who ran a lot of action on multi-line video poker (such as 100-play machines).

Supposedly he was one of the more prolific video poker players in Nevada, especially in the Reno area, and had a deep bankroll to withstand the big swings. He was usually alone and was not part of any advantage play team.

I will post more if I'm given permission to reveal more details. I am also trying to ascertain the reliability of this information.

Was thinking it sounded more likely that he as an AP than a degen. Guy has 6 properties across 4 different states. Don't know any accountants who could afford this, much less accounts with raging gambling problems.

It's clearly the guy had a much more sinister background as well. Although the it's not uncommon for family members to be clueless or in denial.about such things. Guy was likely a highly functional psychopath.

Edit. Not convinced he had help as still not clear what this guy can do on his own or his motive. Just that I don't feel he was a regular guy at all from first reported.

He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, as a mail carrier from 1976 to 1978.

Then he worked as a agent of the Internal Revenue Service for six years ending in 1984.

Violence is more a means to an end than an actual end goal for psychopaths. Lot of hired killers and almost no "recreational" mass murderers. Narcissistic personality disorder at times is misdiagnosed as psychopathy and that's not really helpful either.

I think a lot of people on this forum could have pulled this off. The cameras on food tray was actually pretty risky as they usually grab those fairly quickly. Also, if the food tray was outside his room, it also potentially brings housekeeping to your vicinity which wouldnt be ideal.

Also, I am surprised he didnt think about the fire alarm. I have no idea if it is possible to disable that but you would think he would have thought of that and brought fans in to blow out the smoke. If the alarms didnt go off there would probably have been a lot more deaths.

Nobody here would've thought to spray down on a outdoor concert from inside a suite. I didn't even realize that was possible. I think its brilliant. I'm surprised a 64 year old came up with that, and all this. My dads a few years older than that, and he forget things, and falls asleep while hes driving. But, now that we see his playbook, yes we could've pulled it off, maybe. But the guy has the all time mass shooting record for kills in this country for a reason. I doubt anybody here could top it if they wanted to.

That said it does sound to me like he killed himself after 10 minutes, but swat didn't arrive to his room for an hour. Any idea why he killed himself so early? Sounds like he could've got a lot more kills if he wanted to.

Also the AR style platform isn't for just killing people! It is highly accurate, light weight and extremely effective at taking game. I can't tell you how many hogs/deer/mule deer/moose/axis etc I have taken with one!

Typically hunters don't want to pluck out a shit load of bullets out of the game they just killed. I'm sure it's been used in hunts before but has to be rare. I live in Michigan which is a big hunting state and have never heard of someone using that kind of weapon on a hunt before.

I'm guessing there aren't a lot of feral hogs in Michigan. They are all over the place in the South, from the hill country of Texas and eastward. There are considered a pest species with no hunting limits.
