Why you are hearing the second report and can't track is due to the soundwaves bouncing off of one of the best reflectors, GLASS! Your hearing the same report 2-3 times at full volume right there. Think sonar or radar, and echos.

To the first about AR not being used on hunts I used my 3-5 times a year minimum, and when we are hunting hogs in South TX we use an Automatic usually on three round burst chambered in 300 Blackout with a can on it. Setting off a transsonic 300 Blackout from a bird kills hearing!

Killing javelinas is gods work, and it's totally reasonable to use high powered riffles, those bastards don't go down easy.

I didn't realize where he was at first, thanks for clarification.

Video gets crazier after like 10 minutes fyi.

I am receiving some inside information regarding Stephen Paddock's video poker habits.

Reportedly he was not a video poker fish, but was an advantage player who ran a lot of action on multi-line video poker (such as 100-play machines).

Supposedly he was one of the more prolific video poker players in Nevada, especially in the Reno area, and had a deep bankroll to withstand the big swings. He was usually alone and was not part of any advantage play team.

I will post more if I'm given permission to reveal more details. I am also trying to ascertain the reliability of this information.

Was thinking it sounded more likely that he as an AP than a degen. Guy has 6 properties across 4 different states. Don't know any accountants who could afford this, much less accounts with raging gambling problems.

Feel very confident at this point this was not just a guy snapping as first thought. Way to much planning and expertise here.

It's clearly the guy had a much more sinister background as well. Although the it's not uncommon for family members to be clueless or in denial.about such things. Guy was likely a highly functional psychopath.

Edit. Not convinced he had help as still not clear what this guy can do on his own or his motive. Just that I don't feel he was a regular guy at all from first reported.

Here is an interesting picture created by combining the various leaked photos, creating a panorama of the shooter's room (including his dead body):

Why keep your loaded cartridges like 6ft away from you? And why are there no cartridges on the couch by the broken windows? No empty cartridges near the other window either.

Marilou Danley, the live-in girlfriend of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock, and now a "person of interest" in the shooting investigation, is a Philippines native who has used two Social Security numbers during her two-plus decades in the United States, and was married to two men at the same time, public records show.

In California, her name is registered as Marilou Natividad-Bustos and her birthday is listed as January 1962, making her 55 years old. Under a different Social Security number in Nevada, her name is Marilou Lou Danley and her birthday is listed as December 1954, making her 62.

If you need another reason to hate Stephen Paddock, here it is...

He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, as a mail carrier from 1976 to 1978.

Then he worked as a agent of the Internal Revenue Service for six years ending in 1984.

Violence is more a means to an end than an actual end goal for psychopaths. Lot of hired killers and almost no "recreational" mass murderers. Narcissistic personality disorder at times is misdiagnosed as psychopathy and that's not really helpful either.

Everything about this was brilliant. Right down to setting up hidden cameras in the hallway, so he could see when police/security were on their way. My read is that I don't think he planned this alone.

Per that picture, the whole set up was ergonomically sub-optimal. It's almost as if he wasn't entirely clear in his thinking.

I think a lot of people on this forum could have pulled this off. The cameras on food tray was actually pretty risky as they usually grab those fairly quickly. Also, if the food tray was outside his room, it also potentially brings housekeeping to your vicinity which wouldnt be ideal.

Also, I am surprised he didnt think about the fire alarm. I have no idea if it is possible to disable that but you would think he would have thought of that and brought fans in to blow out the smoke. If the alarms didnt go off there would probably have been a lot more deaths.

I represent the part of this forum that could not pull this off.

Nobody here would've thought to spray down on a outdoor concert from inside a suite. I didn't even realize that was possible. I think its brilliant. I'm surprised a 64 year old came up with that, and all this. My dads a few years older than that, and he forget things, and falls asleep while hes driving. But, now that we see his playbook, yes we could've pulled it off, maybe. But the guy has the all time mass shooting record for kills in this country for a reason. I doubt anybody here could top it if they wanted to.

That said it does sound to me like he killed himself after 10 minutes, but swat didn't arrive to his room for an hour. Any idea why he killed himself so early? Sounds like he could've got a lot more kills if he wanted to.

PuppyMonkeyBaby: Guy starts shooting around 10pm. LVMPD doesn’t breach until nearly midnight. Yeah nothing fishy there. Not to mention Aussie dude in room 32-134 claims he heard other stuff.

Imo this dude was just a giant fucking asshole hell bent on using all of the weaponry he's amassed. Wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of medical issue he just found out about and this was his parting shot, no pun intended.

Good timing recently giving up my mmj card to get a ccw in its place. I'm most likely done with large venues here. Don't see how I could enjoy myself. Gonna be interesting to see how this effects Raiders games down the road.

Clearly there is more to this story but at the end of the day some people just want to watch the world burn and u can't handicap crazy.

Also 72 minutes to get the prick's door is a joke. No idea WTF they were doing once they realized where he was, but they bum rushed his suite at a leisurely pace.

Any word if he had any unpaid markers? Probably into them for a million and gave his old lady whatever he had left.

I already told you clowns that this wasn't about him being broke.

I didn't even realize it was legal to have those assault rifles that he used. Thats insane. I don't care one way or the other about gun control, but maybe those things should be illegal.

Typically hunters don't want to pluck out a shit load of bullets out of the game they just killed. I'm sure it's been used in hunts before but has to be rare. I live in Michigan which is a big hunting state and have never heard of someone using that kind of weapon on a hunt before.
I'm guessing there aren't a lot of feral hogs in Michigan. They are all over the place in the South, from the hill country of Texas and eastward. There are considered a pest species with no hunting limits.
