This is hilarious to me.

Republicans literally have identity politics and nothing else. Every poll on issues ranging from health care to infrastructure to taxes on the wealthy favor the Democratic position. The least popular stances are all standard Republican doctrine. Trump was popular due to his health care stance of covering everyone, disengaging from foreign wars, loading up on infrastructure and saying "we may need to raise taxes on the wealthy". The main reason Trump's approval rating is falling is not his mouth or "fake news" nonsense, but because he bailed on all his popular stances. He was cucked by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

Its weird that you missed the most important thing that helped him win the election IMO, and that was promising to give a voice to all the poor white people (still around 50% of the electorate) that the democrats ignored in their strategic plan to pander to minority special interest groups.

Trump himself is a lying con man. This should be pretty obvious to anyone. But I still don't anticipate the Democrats making any inroads in the battleground states they have done so poorly in the last couple years as long as the narrative is built around racial identity politics, which it currently is.
