From my non-American perspective, while i dont have enough info to agree or disagree with that position I'm also not sure whats so absurd about it. Right now it seems to me like the opposite is happening, many people on the right seem to view all Leftists as anti-White Communists and the left see all Conservatives as White supremacist Nazis. In reality the majority on both sides would be the moderates but its the extremists that make the most noise and the longer this continues the more moderates will turn into extremists.

Without repeating my reply to blake re:BLM I'm someone who thinks both Far Right and Far Left ideologies are very dangerous as history has proven and we should all be careful to avoid going down that road again.

I've always been left leaning on major issues such as free education, free healthcare, affordable housing, being paid a living wage and reducing wealth disparity. However in recent years it seems like the left spends more time focusing on things like safe spaces, respecting pronouns, cultural appropriation and playing gender politics which just doesn't do it for me.

Then when people disagree with this the Far Left doesnt want to talk and tries to silence them by calling them far right or nazis like what happened to Jordan Peterson at UofT and Brett Weinstein at Evergreen College.
