yeah? well, my bravo says otherwise. and i'm talking cash games my friend. Tournament poker will always be around bc assholes like me and you want to get a bracelet and on television.

but we all know that you can't fucking make it too long doing that can you. Tournament poker variance is like dante's 4th ring of hell. (2-100 spread limit anywhere is the 5th by the way)

So yeah. John Wayne is on hold waiting on line 2.

Zcash hashrate varies 10-20% daily and price is about as volatile as ETH so Anonamoose was likely correct last week and you were correct last night/today.

More variation with Zcash but they are roughly comparable.

Honestly tho even at +20% we are splitting hairs; $200 a month off a rig that cost 10x that much is just infuriating.

They are in the process of stiffing the world for the BCC. They sent out a fake email urging people to w/d their BTC if they wanted their share of the new BCC, but they aren't sending the new transfers to the blockchain, or they are doing it very very very very slowly. This insures that at some point there will be a ton of "pending" btc xfers out of Coinbase on Aug 1st that never get sent out.

I am not sure if they are using this as a chance to rob everyone or not but it sure feels like it. I mean - why are w/ds taking 12 hours + to initiate?

Pretty awesome if they get away with it.

They did this before when ETH split, but they eventually gave everyone their share of the forked ETH coin. Not so sure this going to happen as we are talking about a boatload of fucking money if BCC keeps pre-trading at these levels and still * ALOT * of money if it goes to < $10.

Unbelievable what is happening. There is no reason it should take 12+ hours to send a transfer to the blockchain.

If BCC (Bitcoin Cash) goes to 0, then none of this matters but its going to be worth a lot right after the fork. Maybe they plan to instadump everyon'es BCC but we are talking about a lot of fucking money right now that no one is going to see.

So, the scenario that you mention above - with respect to transactions being backed up after the fork - is exactly what is occurring. Seems that the ability to make BTC transactions (from what I can tell) was restored to the network sometime in the last two hours. I immediately initiated several transfers both to and from my wallet. I typically check Blockcypher to see their progress and then use Blockr.io to re-push transactions to the network if they don't go through within a reasonable amount of time. All of my transactions seem to be backed up - almost 90 minutes after being sent and rebroadcasting to network 30 minutes ago. This, NEVER happens.

youre lucky they went through at all, most people have shut down operations until the smoke clears.

I don't consider anything to have "gone through," until I have confirmations. As of now, shipping the payments over the network seems like an ill executed effort. I'm starting to wonder or I would have actually been better off sending the $ directly to the DJ Chaps Canadian Milk Money Fund?

Sure as a get rich scheme mining is neither fast nor lucrative. Setting up everything and then monitoring that nothing blows up (rig or market) is still fairly time consuming.

As with every other gold rush type of event most people are better off selling shit to miners than actually mining themselves. Way market share is really the only thing that matters regard to your gains with crypto mining it's even worse to be a small player than in traditional mining.

Improvements in GPUs very often mean that you have to upgrade just to keep the market share you had. Popularity in mining directly impacts your gains. You won't get fucked twice since the mining doesn't affect the price at all, it kinda does the opposite with crypto and that's how you stay afloat at least. Hashrate usually follows the price when it's not related to hardware improvements.

Stealing, negotiating better deals (power/hardware) and any kinda subsidies allow your competitors to diminish your market share while they increase theirs.

Regarding the original Mumbles story it makes sense to that guy to lease a jet to get new GPUs faster because his real ROI is easily tenfold compared to smaller players who probably shouldn't even bother to build a rig at this point.

Gimmick reads mumbles post, that's all i need to know about him.

Also, moving out to vegas and grinding poker is soooo 2004-2012. If you can't grind out a successful living in poker in chicago then you should just get a job, unless you're on grannies/mommies dime.
