Anyone that knows anything about big corporate deals and bringing in new jobs to states knows that nothing is etched in stone until a building is actually built and the company has moved in and actual jobs have been created.
Perfect example. The mayor of North Las Vegas fought very hard to get Faraday to come to Apex, which is an area of North Las Vegas that is very desolate and ready for massive amounts of commercial industry sites. This was a two billion dollar deal that was in line with what Tesla did in Northern Nevada. This was huge news and supposedly this big economic boost coming to Nevada. That was about a year ago. Since then Faraday has decided they're not going to do this and pulled out.
The same exact thing will most likely happen with this deal with Apple and Wisconsin. Nothing is done until it's done and the majority of the time it doesn't get done. Just another way for Trump to blow his horn to the idiots that support him.

This deal will happen if they can adjust taxes so apple can repatriotize the small fucking country they hold in cash on thier balancesheet. The Apple deal seems profoundly suspect to me considering the current wages paid to assemblers in China is (not joking) $1.50 an hour. The next gen iPhone is going to clock in at $1k and up, so how the fuck does Apple expect to move units when you add on an additional 20-40% in baseline expenses to migrate those assembly operations to the US?
Off topic, North Vegas fascinates me. I have absolutely no idea why no one can get that area developed and populated, least of all considering real estate prices in Vegas are increasing overall and have been for some time. My pet theory for ages was that Vegas was about to run out of water and everyone knew it but I keep seeing studies claiming they got it covered, so whats the deal there?
